Breakfast Attendant


I. SUMMARY STATEMENT

We are a Comfort Inn & Suites by Choice Hotels located in North Las Vegas seeking an energetic and motivated individual with a passion for hospitality to join our team. Previous work experience in hospitality is highly preferred. As the Breakfast Ambassador, you will be the first smiling face many guests see during their stay. Your responsibilities will include preparing and serving the daily breakfast, greeting each guest, and ensuring guests are comfortable with their accommodations. Laundry responsibilities will include washing, organizing, and supplying hotel linens to the housekeeping department.

Job Type: Full-Time / Part-Time

II. ORGANIZATION

This position reports directly to the Hotel Operations Manager and hotel senior leadership.

III. PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Breakfast

Interact with guests in a friendly and cheerful manner.

Set up breakfast according to operational policies and standards and in compliance with local health department standards and brand requirements.

Stock coffee, juice, and milk machines or dispensers.

Take weekly inventory of food, beverages, and supplies needed for food orders.

Prepare foods such as fresh fruit, coffee, and juices from concentrates.

Set up serving dishes/trays, utensils, cups, and other paper products.

Prepare and set up hot food items.

Set out and arrange cold food such as pastries, cereals, and other items.

Clear and clean tables as they are vacated; wipe up spills promptly.

Restock items consistently throughout breakfast hours and prepare for the next day.

Wash serving equipment and return it to storage.

Return reusable food supplies to storage.

Maintain order, organization, and attention to detail throughout the breakfast service area.

Demonstrate and promote a strong commitment to providing the best possible experience for guests and team members.

Other Duties

Perform laundry duties, including washing, drying, folding, and supplying hotel linens to the housekeeping department.

Perform other duties as assigned.

IV. SKILLS, EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND AND EXPERIENCE

Previous work experience in hospitality highly preferred.

Must be able to obtain a Southern Nevada Health District (SNHD) Food Handlers Card.

Ability to work a flexible schedule, including Monday through Friday and weekend availability.

Must be able to communicate effectively in English as required to perform essential job functions, including interacting with coworkers, customers, suppliers/vendors, or other legitimate business needs that must be communicated in English.

V. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Must be able to stand for the length of the shift.

Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds multiple times during the shift.

Must be able to bend, stoop, squat, and stretch to fulfill cleaning tasks.

Must be able to work with and handle laundry chemicals and detergents safely.
