About the role


We're seeking a Payroll Knowledge Specialist to serve as a subject matter expert in Canadian payroll, and a trailblazer learning about payroll in foreign countries. The ideal candidate will be a thought leader in the payroll space, with a strong foundation in Canadian payroll regulations and a willingness to expand their expertise globally. This role will strictly relate to leveraging your payroll knowledge to help advance various aspects of the organization; you will not run payroll.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary knowledge resource for Canadian payroll regulations and best practices
  • Provide expert guidance on complex payroll issues to internal teams and clients
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation on Canadian payroll processes and regulations
  • Stay abreast of legislative changes and assess their impact on our payroll solutions
  • Contribute to product development by providing payroll domain expertise
  • Collaborate with global teams to expand payroll knowledge across different regions
  • Conduct training sessions and workshops on Canadian payroll for internal staff and clients

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in Canadian payroll, preferably in a consultative or advisory role
  • In-depth knowledge of federal and provincial payroll regulations and tax systems
  • Strong understanding of payroll software and emerging payroll technologies
  • Excellent analytical and research skills
  • Outstanding communication and presentation abilities
  • Ability to explain complex payroll concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • PCP or PLP certification required, additional global payroll certifications are an asset
  • Demonstrated interest in global payroll practices and willingness to expand expertise internationally
