Position Summary

We’re seeking a People Operations Leader (Temp-to-Hire) to provide strategic and operational leadership across the People function. Initially covering a maternity leave, this role is a high-impact opportunity to lead HR strategy and operations during a period of growth and transformation. You’ll partner closely with the Chief People Officer (CPO) and executive leadership to implement key people initiatives and ensure a scalable, inclusive, and high-performing employee experience.

This is a roll-up-your-sleeves leadership role ideal for someone energized by both strategic thinking and hands-on execution.


Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the People Operations team (3 team members) during maternity leave coverage, providing strategic guidance, operational oversight, and support across all HR functions

  • Oversee and execute key HR processes and projects including performance reviews, compensation planning, L&D, talent management, and culture-building


  • Build and optimize people processes using strong Excel modeling and PowerPoint storytelling skills to drive clarity and alignment, as well as report on key HR and business metrics to guide data-informed decision-making


  • Act as a strategic advisor to leadership on people-related matters including performance, engagement, and development; partner with the CPO and executive team to advance the People roadmap aligned to organizational OKRs


  • Translate business strategy into actionable People initiatives; build and execute HR process flows, implementation plans, and roadmaps across talent, compensation, org design, DEI, and compliance


  • Represent the People function with confidence and composure in high-stakes, executive-facing settings


  • Champion an inclusive, high-trust, high-performance culture; embed equity into performance management, succession, and engagement practices


  • Coach and mentor HR team members and cross-functional partners to strengthen capability and organizational impact

Qualifications


Required Experience:

  • 8-10+ years of progressive HR/People leadership experience in fast-paced, dynamic environments.


  • Proven success building and executing People strategies across talent, compensation, org design, and employee experience.


  • Experience in tech-enabled, healthcare, PE-backed, or pre-IPO organizations is strongly preferred.


  • Hands-on experience leading and developing small but mighty HR teams.


  • Advanced proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and HR systems.
