About the role

As the Vice President of Finance at Nok, you will serve as the financial advisor to the CEO and the executive team while managing all financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting on the overall financial performance of the company. You will own all aspects of accounting operations, to include payables, receivables, payroll, and tax preparation. 

This role will be extremely cross-functional, and you will partner with Sales during business development to assist in financial modeling. You will develop and manage the appropriate mechanisms for revenue and expense tracking, including activity-based cost and per-unit economics analysis, to ensure our pricing models and sales channels are optimized to meet the objectives of our Clients. 


As a member of the senior management team, you will participate in corporate policy development as it relates to risk management and compliance. Additionally, you will work closely with the executive leadership and investors to establish our financial reporting on key metrics as we lean into preparation for upcoming investments and partnerships.

What you'll do

  • Tracking (and auditing) revenue and expenses across all verticals of the business.

  • Preparing the consolidated financials (P&L, cash flow analysis, balance sheet) for the company.

  • Review, audit, and oversight of Accounts Receivables with Key Account / Client Managers under the Commercial team.

  • Review, audit, and management of Accounts Payable with stakeholder teams. (Primarily Operations, Product, Tech, and Human Resources.)

  • Establish and manage the monthly, quarterly and annual budgeting and business review processes.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field.

  • 7 - 10 years experience in financial accounting.

  • 7 - 10 years experience in financial planning, forecasting, and analysis.

  • Experience in month-end closing and preparing financial statements.

  • Exceptionally strong accounting background in a logistics services and/or consumer product sales organization is required. 

  • Experience architecting financial tools/mechanisms (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow analysis) with multiple sources of revenue (services and product sales) in a multiple client/sales operating models environment will be critical.

  • Experience with project finance and funding product development

  • Managing CAPEX and OPEX for SaaS product development and SaaS product pricing

  • Experience with set-up and management of e-commerce accounting software integrations for QBO;

  • Reverse Logistics and Recommerce industry experience is a plus, but not required.

  • Ideally led Series B+ fundraises with a proven track record working in PE/VC backed tech-forward organizations.

  • Ability to be on-site in Grand Prairie, TX (as needed) to work with operations, merchandising, and sales teams.

The pay range for this role is:

140,000 - 180,000 USD per year (Hybrid)
