About the role

As an Operations Supervisor at Nok,  you will play a crucial role in overseeing and coordinating the daily operations of our warehouse facility. You will be responsible for managing a team of warehouse associates, ensuring the efficient handling, storage, and distribution of goods, and maintaining a safe and organized work environment. This position requires strong leadership skills, exceptional organizational abilities, and a keen eye for detail.

What you'll do

  • Team Leadership:

    • Supervise, mentor, and train warehouse associates, fostering a positive and productive work environment.

    • Assign tasks and responsibilities to team members, ensuring all operational duties are carried out efficiently and accurately.

    • Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to team members, supporting their professional growth.

  • Warehouse Operations Management:

    • Coordinate with other departments to ensure timely order fulfillment and efficient logistics processes.

  • Safety and Compliance:

    • Enforce strict safety protocols and best practices to minimize workplace accidents and injuries.

    • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, standards, and company policies governing warehouse operations.

  • Process Improvement:

    • Continuously assess warehouse operations to identify areas for improvement in efficiency and cost-effectiveness.

    • Implement process enhancements and operational strategies to optimize workflows and meet productivity goals.

  • Quality Control:

    • Oversee quality control procedures to ensure that products meet the required standards before shipment.

    • Implement quality improvement initiatives to reduce errors and improve overall product quality.

  • Communication:

    • Collaborate with other department leads and managers to maintain effective cross-zone communication.

    • Report regularly to senior management on warehouse performance, challenges, and opportunities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree preferred

  • Previous experience (typically 2-4 years) in warehouse operations, with some experience in a supervisory or leadership role.

  • Proficiency in using warehouse management software and other relevant technology.

  • Outstanding organizational and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment while maintaining composure under pressure.

  • Knowledge of safety regulations and compliance standards in a warehouse setting.

  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with staff at all levels and external partners.
