About North Cloud
The public cloud is rapidly evolving, with businesses investing over $200 billion annually in cloud technology. As AI accelerates demand for scalable infrastructure, cloud costs are soaring, and most teams still rely on spreadsheets to manage them.
At North, we’re building the next-generation cloud, AI, and data spend management platform. We give companies real-time visibility, control, and automation over their digital asset finances so they can grow efficiently without wasting time or money.
Backed by top-tier investors and trusted by companies managing complex cloud environments, North is building the financial operating system for the public cloud.
About the Role
North is hiring a Performance Marketing Manager to help scale our paid acquisition engine. As we increase our marketing investment, you’ll help strengthen our performance across existing platforms, identify new channels worth testing, and build the campaigns and content needed to turn that investment into a qualified pipeline.
You’ll report to the VP of Marketing and work closely with sales, product marketing, design, and external partners. This is a highly hands-on role for someone who can move between campaign strategy, platform execution, performance analysis, landing-page copy, and creative development.
You’ll evaluate what is working, identify where we need to improve, and develop a structured approach to testing new platforms, audiences, offers, and creative concepts. You’ll help shape the entire campaign experience, from the first ad impression through the landing page and conversion point. You'll use AI as a practical part of the job to speed up research, creative iteration, campaign setup, and analysis.
What You’ll Do
- Manage and optimize paid acquisition campaigns across platforms such as Google Ads, LinkedIn, Meta, and other relevant paid channels
- Audit our current paid programs and identify opportunities to improve targeting, campaign structure, tracking, creative, conversion rates, and return on investment
- Help scale paid media budgets responsibly while maintaining clear performance and pipeline goals
- Research, recommend, and test new advertising platforms and acquisition channels based on where our finance, FinOps, engineering, and cloud infrastructure audiences spend their time
- Develop structured testing roadmaps across audiences, messaging, offers, formats, landing pages, and creative concepts
- Write and refine campaign content, including ad copy, landing-page copy, headlines, calls to action, email follow-up, and supporting campaign materials
- Develop creative concepts and briefs for static ads, video, social content, landing pages, and other paid campaign assets
- Partner with design and other internal or external resources to bring campaign creative to life
- Build landing pages and campaign experiences that connect paid messaging to clear buyer outcomes and strong conversion paths
- Work with sales and product marketing to understand buyer pain points, objections, and language, then translate those insights into campaign messaging
- Create campaigns tailored to finance, FinOps, engineering, and cloud infrastructure audiences
- Monitor campaign performance, attribution, cost per acquisition, conversion rates, pipeline contribution, and sourced or influenced revenue
- Use performance data to quickly identify what is working, pause what is not, and prioritize the next round of testing
- Maintain accurate campaign tracking and reporting across advertising platforms, HubSpot, and web analytics tools
- Stay current on new platforms, advertising products, targeting capabilities, and changes in paid media best practices
What We’re Looking For
- Three or more years of experience in growth marketing, paid acquisition, performance marketing, or demand generation, preferably at a B2B SaaS company
- Hands-on experience managing and optimizing paid campaigns across Google Ads, LinkedIn, or similar platforms
- Experience working with meaningful paid media budgets and making decisions about allocation, scaling, and efficiency
- A track record of improving campaign performance and producing measurable pipeline or revenue—not just impressions, clicks, or MQLs
- Experience evaluating and testing new platforms, audiences, campaign formats, or acquisition channels
- Strong copywriting skills, with experience creating ad copy, landing-page copy, campaign messaging, and conversion-focused calls to action
- Strong analytical judgment: you define success metrics, isolate what's actually driving performance, and make decisions with imperfect data
- A track record of scaling paid spend while holding efficiency, with the specifics of what moved and why
- Experience taking a channel from first test to scaled program, including the discipline to walk away from the ones that didn't work
- Strong writing and a real instinct for marketing copy, with ad copy and landing pages you wrote yourself
- Comfort briefing and directing creative, and building landing pages in tools like HubSpot, Webflow, or Unbounce
- Strong HubSpot experience, including campaign reporting, attribution, lifecycle stages, and lead routing
- Experience building AI workflows or automations into marketing execution, and good judgment about where AI accelerates the work and where human review is necessary
- Comfort partnering with sales on lead quality, follow-up, and target-account programs
- Comfort in a small, fast-moving team, taking programs from ambiguity to outcome without a dedicated marketing operations or revenue operations function behind you
Nice to Have
- Experience marketing cloud infrastructure, FinOps, DevOps, AI, or developer-focused products
- Experience marketing to finance and FP&A audiences alongside technical buyers
- Familiarity with incrementality testing, holdouts, media mix modeling, and attribution beyond last touch
- Experience running paid against review sites and intent data, such as G2, 6sense, Demandbase, or Clay
- Hands-on comfort in Figma, and experience producing video or motion creative for paid
- Familiarity with multi-product positioning, particularly platforms with AI-powered products or agents
- Experience working at a high-growth startup, particularly from Series A through Series D
Benefits
- Unlimited PTO
- 16 weeks of paid parental leave (birthing parents receive an additional 4 weeks at 50% pay)
- Two company-wide breaks per year: one around Labor Day and one at the end of the year
- Aetna Medical PPO plan with the majority of the premium covered by North
- Dental and vision insurance
- Flexible spending account (FSA) for health expenses and commuter benefits
- 30 day sabbatical every 4 years
