Business Development Representative - Contractor

As our BDR, you’ll work with our world-class Marketing and Sales team.  Reporting to our VP of Marketing, you’ll be joining a team who have helped build companies like Chime, Twitter, Instacart, E-Trade, McKinsey, Etsy, eBay and more. We’re a team of A-players who are all-in on solving big, important problems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Generate Leads: Identify and engage potential new customer referral partners (e.g. construction CRM platforms, payment processors, local accountants and bookkeepers)
  • Qualify Prospects: Assess fit and interest to create a strong pipeline of referral partnership opportunities 
  • Drive Outreach: Craft tailored messages that resonate with partnership decision makers at target organizations
  • Collaborate with Marketing: Align on campaigns, messaging, and lead targeting to optimize conversion.
  • Track Activity: Maintain accurate records of all outreach and lead progress in the CRM.
  • Hit KPIs: Consistently meet goals for outreach volume, lead conversions, meetings booked, and partnerships secured.
  • Represent North One: Act as the first touchpoint for partners, clearly communicating our value and mission.
  • Stay Informed: Keep up with product updates and market trends to refine pitch and strategy.

Required Skills & Experience

  • A proven track record of successful partnership/bd generation
  • 3+ years of securing technology platform partnerships
  • Previous experience in fintech, small business and construction/trades platforms preferred

Bonus Points

  • Experience working in a fast paced, startup environment
