The not-for-profit, 25-bed Critical Access Hospital features a 24-hour physician-staffed emergency department, with state-of-the-art diagnostic imaging and electronic medical record services. Our large, quiet labor/birthing rooms are private and located away from other patient care areas. The private patient rooms on the 5th floor Medical/Surgical Department boast views from every window.

About the role

Under supervision of the Director of Care Coordination – LTC and DON/LTC, the Long-Term Care Clerk

shall provide clerical assistance/support to the nursing staff and function as the primary coordinator of

scheduling and staffing processes. She/He performs a variety of clerical and receptionist duties as well,

while maintaining the physical environment of the staffing office. The Long-Term Care Clerk shall

support the mission and nursing philosophy of Northern Montana Care Center.


Qualifications

  • High school graduate or equivalent with secretarial/business training. Previous experience in hospital/office procedures preferred.
  • Certified Nurse’s Aide by the State of Montana (preferred) including current BLS.
  • Able to read, write, and converse in the English language.
  • Intermediate typing skills 55-60 wpm, ability to operate office equipment.
  • Proficient in Word and Excel computer programs.
  • Able to interpret and apply verbal and written instruction.
  • Demonstrates intermediate mathematical skills.
  • Provides a current phone number.
  • Proficient in use of computer.
  • Proficient in the use of basic medical terminology.
  • Able to maintain confidentiality of information.
