Job description
The person is responsible for the operational management and ongoing development of Novacap’s IT infrastructure. Reporting to the Director, IT & Cybersecurity, this individual plays a key role in ensuring the performance, security, and reliability of technology systems, while actively contributing to digital transformation and cybersecurity projects.
Key responsabilities
- Hands-on role in Novacap’s IT infrastructure (networks, Azure Entra ID, SSO authentication, Microsoft Office 365, Azure IaaS, Intune, Apple Business manager, Zscaler ZTNA, proofpoint).
- Provide frontline IT support by actively resolving Helpdesk tickets and assigning incoming requests, while delivering expert-level, white glove service—especially to executive users—with responsiveness and discretion.
- Actively participate in the implementation of technology improvement and digital transformation projects.
- Ensure system performance, security, and scalability, in collaboration with the Director of IT.
- Support the Director in managing system lifecycles, documentation, audits, and cybersecurity initiatives (CTI).
- Assist in technical analysis during IT due diligence processes for vendor procurement.
- Ensure daily monitoring of email system logs as a key control to promptly identify and remediate false positives before they impact business operations.
- Manage video conference rooms and ensure their proper functioning.
Experience and skills required
- A university degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field; or a combination of relevant experience and up-to-date technical certifications, with a minimum of 7 to 10 years of relevant experience.
- Proficiency with Intune, Apple Business Manager, Microsoft Azure, backups, monitoring, and security tools.
- Experience in regulated or financial environments is an asset.
- Excellent communication skills in both French and English.
- Subject to the immediate supervisor’s approval and depending on project needs, occasional travel to Toronto or New York may be required (quarterly or semi-annually).
- Availability for occasional after-hours IT support, based on a rotating team schedule.
