About the role
Novellus Clairemont is seeking an energetic and passionate Activities Assistant to join the team in this part-time role. As an Activities Assistant, you will play a pivotal role in enriching the lives of our residents and guests by assisting in the planning and execution of engaging programs and activities. Your efforts will contribute to fostering socialization, relaxation, and recreation within our community.

Compensation
Starting at $16.85/hour
What you'll do
- Assist with planning and facilitating daily, weekly, and monthly events to encourage socialization, relaxation, and recreation.
- Assist with development and creation of activity calendars and newsletters.
- Motivates and encourages residents to learn and engage in the programs.
- Keeps records regarding event planning resources, participant interest, and other notable information, such as injuries or behavioral incidents.
- Reads the staff communication records and maintains familiarity with resident records as required.
- Assists with open houses and other community functions as needed.
- Observes all work, safety, and administrative rules.
- Avoids loss, breakage and waste of supplies and equipment.
- Observes participants at events to gauge their enjoyment.
- Obtains participant feedback to improve events.
- Reports medical concerns or observations.
- Provides participants with instructions for the event.
- Performs additional duties as assigned by the Activities Manager/ Director.
Requirements & Qualifications
Adaptability and strong organization and time management skills.
Excellent resource management, computer, record keeping, interpersonal, decision making, and verbal and written communication skills. Flexibility to work when needed, especially evenings, weekends, or early mornings.
Willingness to adhere to and enforce all safety policies and procedures.
- High School graduate or equivalent GED.
- Experience in a senior living setting is a plus.
