We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly skilled Document Writer to develop, update, and maintain a wide range of technical and HR-related documentation. This role requires a strong ability to translate complex concepts into clear, concise, and user-friendly documents. The ideal candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accuracy, compliance, and accessibility of documentation within our organization.
Key Responsibilities:
•Develop, update, and maintain technical documentation, including Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), user guides, and system manuals.
•Create and update HR-related documents, such as employee handbooks, policies, and procedures.
•Ensure all documentation aligns with company branding, tone, and compliance requirements.
•Design clear and professional process flow diagrams using tools like Microsoft Visio or Lucidchart.
•Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to document workflows and processes accurately.
•Maintain documentation within platforms such as SharePoint and Hudu, ensuring content is organized, current, and easily accessible.
•Utilize content management and version control tools as needed.
•Work closely with IT teams to document technical processes, configurations, and troubleshooting guides.
•Partner with HR teams to ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
•Collaborate with leadership and cross-functional teams to identify documentation needs and priorities.
•Review existing documentation for accuracy, clarity, and consistency.
•Conduct periodic audits of documentation repositories to ensure compliance with organizational standards.
•Identify opportunities for process improvement in documentation management and implement best practices.
•Stay updated on industry trends in technical writing and documentation management.
Required Qualifications:
•Proven experience in technical writing or documentation management, preferably within an MSP (Managed Service Provider) or IT environment.
•Proficiency in creating process flow diagrams using tools like Microsoft Visio or Lucidchart.
•Familiarity with documentation management systems such as Hudu, SharePoint, or similar platforms.
•Strong writing skills with the ability to simplify complex topics for diverse audiences.
•Excellent organizational skills with keen attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications:
•Familiarity with HR policies and procedures for US-based organizations.
•Knowledge of ITIL frameworks or similar IT service management methodologies.
•Experience working in a fast-paced MSP environment is highly desirable.
Education Requirements:
•Bachelor’s degree in Technical Writing, Communications, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
•Candidates without a college degree will not be considered for this role.
