Customer Success Engineer

Who We Are…

At Nutrient, we equip developers and innovators with cutting-edge tools to simplify workflows and accelerate impactful software creation. We’re on a mission to redefine how documents are created, shared, and experienced. Our software development kits power document viewing, editing, signing, and collaboration in apps used by millions every day, replacing outdated paper processes and helping companies work smarter and faster.

Whether you’re helping customers integrate our Web SDK, optimizing APIs, or troubleshooting complex setups, joining Nutrient means contributing to solutions that impact over one billion end users worldwide.

Your Role at Nutrient…

You’ll join our Support team, a group trusted by customers to help them succeed in building with our products. As a Customer Success Engineer, you’ll provide hands-on technical guidance, troubleshoot challenging implementation issues, and collaborate with internal teams to improve the developer experience.

You’ll primarily support customers using our Web SDK (both Standalone and backed by Document Engine), Document Web Services and Document Engine. We’re especially interested in candidates who can overlap significantly with US Eastern Time working hours, but we’re open to applicants from multiple regions.

What You’ll Work On…

  • Joint ownership of customer relationships, guiding developers through integrations and helping them maximize the value of Nutrient’s products.
  • Deliver excellent developer-focused support.
  • Improve public documentation, API references, and code samples to make adoption of our products easy and enjoyable.
  • Contribute to automated tests, internal tooling, and knowledge-sharing initiatives across the organization.

What You’ll Bring…

  • Excellent written communication and problem-solving skills — you can explain complex technical concepts clearly.
  • A proactive mindset and a genuine desire to help customers succeed.
  • Ability to build trust with both customers and internal teams, understanding not just a single ticket but the broader use case.
  • A bias toward action — you follow through, ensure issues are prioritized, and advocate for what helps customers and reduces churn.

If you’ve made it this far: tell us about your past work experiences — what was the thing you liked least about how things were done, and what was the thing you liked most?

What You’ll Bring…

At Nutrient, we’re not just hiring for skills — we’re hiring for mindset. The people who thrive here are:

  • Collaborators: You collaborate openly, listen actively, and prioritize team success over ego.
  • Hungry Learners: Rapid learning fuels progress and career growth.
  • Curious Thinkers: You dig deep to uncover the “why,” valuing understanding over simply being right.
  • Self-Starters: You take action without waiting for direction, turning obstacles into opportunities with creativity and persistence.
  • Owners: You take responsibility for solutions and outcomes, always looking for ways to improve what’s within your control.
  • Focus on Results: You care about impact, not motion. You measure success by the outcomes your work creates — not just the effort behind it — and you constantly seek to understand how your contributions move the company forward.

Why You’ll Love Working Here…

At Nutrient, we tackle complex challenges to build tools and solutions that reshape how businesses and developers experience and interact with documents. Our culture is centered around continuous growth and collaboration, ensuring every team member has the opportunity to learn, innovate, and drive meaningful change at our company.

We’re a remote-first, globally distributed company that values speed, autonomy, and continuous learning. You’ll have the freedom to experiment, the tools to move fast, and the support of teammates who care deeply about doing great work together.

We offer competitive salaries, comprehensive benefits, and an annual global retreat to celebrate achievements and foster connections. Past retreats have taken place in locations like Croatia, Spain, and Greece.

If working from the US, you must be located in Florida, Indiana, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, or Virginia for payroll processing.

Nutrient believes in equal opportunity, we employ people from many different cultures and countries. We celebrate diversity and are committed to building a team that represents a variety of backgrounds, skill sets, perspectives, as well as providing our employees with a work environment free of harassment. We do not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, age, marital status, national origin, ancestry, physical or mental disability, medical condition, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other non-merit factor.
