Performance Dietician

About Boston Legacy FC

Boston Legacy FC (the “Club”) is Boston’s new professional women’s soccer team, set to begin play in the National Women’s Soccer League in 2026. We are dedicated to building a championship-caliber organization on and off the pitch. We are passionate about advancing women’s sports, investing in our local community, and redefining the future of professional soccer. As a startup club with a big vision, we’re building from the ground up—and looking for entrepreneurial team members who want to be part of something extraordinary.

The Role

The Performance Dietitian is a full-time member of the High Performance Department, reporting directly to the Director of High Performance. This role will drive the team’s nutrition strategy and oversee the team chef, ensuring athletes are fueled for peak performance, sustained health, and long-term success. The Performance Dietitian will take a personalized approach, tailoring plans to each athlete’s unique needs, goals, and preferences, while fostering positive and sustainable relationships with food.

Through one-on-one consultations, group education, and practical recovery strategies, this individual will empower players to make confident nutrition choices that directly impact performance on the pitch and well-being off of it. The Performance Dietitian will also ensure the club and athletes remain aligned with NWSL standards and rules related to supplements and nutrition.

Beyond fueling at home, this role will be essential in maintaining excellence on the road—partnering with hotels, caterers, and vendors to provide safe, high-quality meals that support the demands of training, competition, and recovery. The Performance Dietitian will also stay at the forefront of sports science, keeping up with current research and best practices while innovating to ensure the club is continually pushing the boundaries of human performance.

Working in close collaboration with the medical and performance staff, the Performance Dietitian will play a central role in delivering holistic, athlete-centered care and building an environment where players can thrive.

  • Develop, oversee, and uphold nutrition policies, food service quality standards, and safety procedures to support optimal performance outcomes.
  • Support injured athletes through the return-to-play process by adapting nutrition and supplement strategies to meet changing energy demands, recovery needs, and performance goals throughout rehabilitation.

What We’re Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree in Clinical Nutrition, Food and Nutrition, or a related field from a regionally accredited institution.
  • Registered Dietitian (RD/RDN) with active registration by the Commission on Dietetic Registration.
