Location: Boston, MA | Reports to: Chief Revenue Officer | Hybrid (3-4 days in office)

The Role

Boston Legacy FC is seeking an experienced Senior Manager of Data & Analytics to lead our data strategy and analytics initiatives. This key leadership position will drive data-informed decision making across our organization, with a primary focus on supporting ticket sales and marketing. The ideal candidate will combine technical expertise in data management and visualization with strategic business acumen to unlock insights that grow our fanbase and enhance value for the club and partners.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and execution of Boston Legacy FC's data strategy, establishing best practices for data collection, management, and analysis
  • Oversee and optimize our CRM system to improve fan segmentation, engagement tracking, and ticket sales conversion
  • Design and maintain interactive dashboards and data visualization tools that provide actionable insights to stakeholders
  • Drive sales growth by identifying fan behavior patterns and purchase trends to inform targeted ticket campaigns
  • Support the partnerships team with data-driven reporting that demonstrates sponsor ROI and identifies new revenue opportunities
  • Collaborate with marketing to measure campaign effectiveness and refine audience targeting strategies
  • Work with other departments to evolve nascent business implementations into refined outputs, making them permanent via documentation and process perfection
  • Own the organization’s data warehouse infrastructure, working closely with IT and third-party vendors to  ensure all data pipelines and ETLs are stable, information is aggregated appropriately, data quality standards are maintained, and reporting is accurate
  • Establish data governance protocols and ensure compliance with relevant privacy regulations
  • Support other ongoing business projects and priorities within and involving the Club on an ad-hoc basis as needed
  • Develop predictive models to forecast attendance, revenue, and other key performance indicators

What We're Looking For

  • 5+ years of experience in data analytics, business intelligence, or related field, with at least 3 years in a management role
  • Demonstrated expertise with CRM systems (Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar platforms)
  • Experience with data analytics-related tools (e.g. R, Stata, Python, Excel Power Query) and data visualization platforms (e.g. Tableau, Microsoft PowerBI)
  • Advanced proficiency with data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, or similar)
  • Strong SQL skills and experience working with various data sources and ETL processes
  • Proven track record of translating complex data insights into actionable business recommendations
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to present technical concepts to non-technical audiences
  • Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Business Analytics, or related field; Master's degree preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with high attention to detail
  • Experience and comfort with client-facing presentations and interaction
  • Passionate about sports and understanding the unique dynamics of fan engagement
