Mental Performance Coach

About Boston Legacy FC

Boston Legacy FC (the “Club”) is Boston’s new professional women’s soccer team, set to begin play in the National Women’s Soccer League in 2026. We are dedicated to building a championship-caliber organization on and off the pitch. We are passionate about advancing women’s sports, investing in our local community, and redefining the future of professional soccer. As a startup club with a big vision, we’re building from the ground up—and looking for entrepreneurial team members who want to be part of something extraordinary.

The Role

Boston Legacy FC is seeking an inspiring and dedicated Mental Performance Coach to help our players and staff unlock their full potential—mentally, emotionally, and competitively. This role is not just about supporting performance under pressure; it’s about shaping a culture of resilience, confidence, and connection that elevates the entire club. The Mental Performance Coach is a full-time member of the High Performance Department, reporting directly to the Director of High Performance.

Fully embedded within the team environment, the Mental Performance Coach will be present at trainings, matches, and during travel to observe, support, and guide both players and staff. Through a blend of one-on-one coaching, small group sessions, and full-team workshops, the coach will introduce tools and strategies that build mental toughness, enhance focus, strengthen communication, and prepare athletes to thrive in high-stakes moments.

Beyond working with players, this role will be a trusted resource to coaches and the wider high-performance staff. Together, we aim to create a unified, collaborative environment where each area of expertise complements the other. By promoting healthy work practices, fostering staff cohesion, and encouraging constructive challenge, the Mental Performance Coach will help ensure that our collective efforts have the greatest positive impact on our athletes—both on the field and in life.

At Boston Legacy FC, we believe peak performance comes when individuals feel connected, supported, and empowered. The Mental Performance Coach will be at the heart of making that vision a reality.
