The Role
The Vice President, Broadcast Production & Operations will lead the strategy, production, and operational execution of all NWSL match broadcasts and league productions across domestic and international distribution platforms.
This role is responsible for delivering a consistent, high-quality broadcast product that elevates the NWSL brand, enhances storytelling around the league’s players and competition, and strengthens relationships with broadcast partners. The Vice President will oversee all aspects of league broadcast production—including editorial direction, production operations, programming coordination, and innovation—while managing the league’s broadcast ecosystem of partners, vendors, and production teams.
The Vice President will directly manage the Director, Broadcast Operations and Manager of Broadcast, who leads the league’s broadcast technical infrastructure and game-day technical operations.
What You Will Own & Drive
Broadcast Production & Editorial Leadership
- Lead the strategy, editorial vision, and execution of all NWSL match broadcasts across league and partner platforms.
- Establish and enforce league-wide broadcast standards, production guidelines, and editorial protocols to ensure a consistent, high-quality viewing experience.
- Oversee on-air talent relationships and align broadcast storytelling with league priorities, players, and competition narratives.
Broadcast Partner Management & Programming
- Serve as the league’s primary liaison with broadcast partners on the broadcast execution.
- Coordinate programming strategy, broadcast windows, scheduling alignment, and promotional integration across partner platforms.
- Oversee editorial direction and programming for league-controlled broadcasts on NWSL+, ensuring integration of league storylines, commercial inventory, and partner messaging.
- Partner with clubs, internal commercial, marketing, social, and communications teams to maximize broadcast visibility, storytelling impact, and partner value.
- Support clubs in local broadcast production and distribution, ensuring alignment with league standards and partner agreements, and review local broadcast distribution arrangements in coordination with league leadership.
- Lead communication with internal stakeholders, clubs, broadcast partners, and production teams regarding broadcast priorities and operations, and oversee initiatives that strengthen the NWSL broadcast ecosystem, including the annual Broadcast Seminar and Broadcast Bootcamp talent development program.

Broadcast Scheduling & Distribution
- Collaborate with internal partners to build the league’s broadcast calendar, including regular season, playoffs, and championship programming.
- Manage real-time schedule adjustments related to venue changes, weather delays, or operational needs.
- Oversee alignment between league scheduling priorities and broadcast partner distribution strategies.
Production Operations & Vendor Management
- Oversee operational execution of league match broadcasts across venues and production partners.
- Manage relationships with production vendors, and broadcast service providers.
- Implement scalable production workflows and evaluate partners to ensure best-in-class broadcast delivery.
Tentpole Events & Special Broadcasts
- Lead broadcast planning and production for major league events including the NWSL Championship, Challenge Cup, Decision Day, NWSL Awards, NWSL Skills Competition and matches in non-traditional venues.
- Coordinate production planning across broadcast partners, clubs, stadium operators, and internal league departments.
Broadcast Innovation & Technology
- Identify and implement broadcast innovations that enhance storytelling, fan engagement, and production quality.
- Partner with vendors and internal teams to introduce new broadcast technologies and scalable production capabilities.
- Manage and oversee the Director, Broadcast Operations, ensuring effective execution of league broadcast technical infrastructure, replay, officiating and tracking technologies, venue readiness, and domestic and international transmission workflows.
Budget & Operational Oversight
- Manage broadcast production budgets and vendor expenditures.
- Oversee financial tracking of broadcast, VAR and data tracking operations and ensure responsible budget management across the broadcast department.
What You Will Bring
Core Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in live sports broadcast operations.
- Deep technical knowledge of production workflows.
- Experience working with national networks or major streaming platforms
- Strong project management skills and ability to manage multiple live events simultaneously.
- Willingness to travel extensively during the season.
