The Opportunity

We’re hiring a Finance Manager / Controller to build and lead the financial infrastructure of a high-growth business. Reporting directly to the CEO, you’ll own day-to-day financial operations while laying the financial foundation for scalable growth.

This is a builder’s role—ideal for a strategic, analytical leader ready to create systems, drive insights, and steer financial discipline from the ground up.

Key Responsibilities

  • Cash Flow Leadership
    • Implement and manage a 13-week cash flow forecasting model.
    • Drive accounts receivable and payable optimization.
    • Identify and eliminate inefficiencies to maintain a lean financial, disciplined financial structure.
  • Financial Operations & Reporting
    • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
    • Manage budgets, forecasts, and financial planning aligned to company strategy.
    • Maintain accurate, organized financial records across all systems.
  • Performance Analysis
    • Track and analyze key financial and operational metrics.
    • Build and maintain real-time dashboards for KPI and performance monitoring.
    • Deliver actionable insights to improve profitability, efficiency, and execution.
  • Compliance & Risk Management
    • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal tax and reporting regulations.
    • Implement and monitor internal controls to safeguard assets.
    • Manage audits and coordinate with external accountants or consultants.
  • Strategic Financial Leadership
    • Partner with the CEO to design scalable financial processes.
    • Conduct financial modeling to support decision-making and evaluate new business opportunities.
    • Lead initiatives to improve financial discipline, reporting efficiency, and automation.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration
    • Work closely with sales and operations teams to align financial processes with business objectives.
    • Serve as a financial advisor to department heads, guiding budgeting and expenditure decisions.

Qualifications


Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field, with demonstrated academic or practical exposure to financial operations.

OR

  • 3-5 years of financial analysis or management experience.
  • Proven experience with cash flow forecasting, working capital management, and process implementation.
  • Proficiency in Excel and financial modeling.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Track record of building financial processes from scratch.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred

  • MBA or professional certification (CPA, CMA, or equivalent).
  • Experience in construction, contracting, or project-based industries.
  • Knowledge of job costing, project accounting, and industry KPIs.
  • Experience leading accounting software implementations and process improvement projects.
