As a rapidly growing provider of occupational health and workforce health solutions, OccuMedX operates across multiple markets and business entities. The ideal candidate is a hands-on accounting professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment, takes ownership of their work, and continuously looks for opportunities to improve financial processes.

This role requires hands-on experience with Oracle NetSuite, a strong understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP), and demonstrated proficiency in journal entries, account reconciliations, and general ledger management.

What you'll do

  • Prepare, review, and post accurate journal entries (JEs), including accruals, prepayments, reclassifications, and adjusting entries.
  • Support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes, ensuring accuracy and timely completion.
  • Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, including cash, accounts receivable, accounts payable, prepaid expenses, fixed assets, and accrued liabilities.
  • Utilize Oracle NetSuite ERP for daily accounting activities, financial reporting, transaction management, and account reconciliations.
  • Prepare and maintain supporting schedules, balance sheet reconciliations, and documentation for financial transactions.
  • Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including transaction review, payment reconciliation, and discrepancy resolution.
  • Support bank and credit card reconciliations, investigating and resolving outstanding items.
  • Assist with intercompany transactions, allocations, and reconciliations across multiple legal entities.
  • Support preparation of monthly financial statements, management reports, and variance analyses.
  • Identify and resolve accounting discrepancies while maintaining compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policies.
  • Assist with annual audits, tax preparation, and other external financial reporting requirements.
  • Collaborate with operations, payroll, and other departments to ensure accurate financial data and appropriate expense classification.
  • Identify opportunities to improve accounting workflows, strengthen internal controls, and increase efficiency through NetSuite automation and process improvements.
  • Perform additional accounting and financial analysis responsibilities as business needs evolve.

Qualifications

Required qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related field.
  • Minimum of 2–4 years of professional accounting experience, preferably in a corporate or multi-entity environment.
  • Demonstrated, hands-on experience with Oracle NetSuite ERP is required.
  • Proven experience preparing and posting journal entries, managing general ledger accounts, and performing account reconciliations is required.
  • Strong understanding of GAAP, accrual accounting, and financial statement preparation.
  • Experience participating in month-end and year-end close processes.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, lookups, and financial data analysis.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities, meet deadlines, and work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • High level of integrity, accountability, and discretion when handling confidential financial information.

Preferred qualifications

  • Experience supporting accounting functions in a growing, multi-state, or multi-entity organization.
  • Familiarity with NetSuite OneWorld, including subsidiaries, intercompany transactions, and consolidated financial reporting.
  • Experience with financial systems integrations, workflow automation, and process optimization.
  • Familiarity with Ramp, Paystand, or similar expense management and payment platforms.
  • Experience in healthcare services, professional services, or workforce-related industries.
  • CPA eligibility, CPA candidacy, or progress toward professional accounting certification.

What success looks like
