About the role


As we continue to grow, we're looking for a Business Development Representative who thrives in building relationships, identifying growth opportunities, and driving revenue. What you'll do

Cold Calling & Prospecting

  • Conduct 80-100+ outbound cold calls per day to potential business clients, resellers, and industry partners.
  • Identify and qualify leads by understanding their needs and pain points.
  • Generate and nurture new business opportunities to fuel the sales pipeline.

 Sales Outreach & Lead Generation

  • Engage with potential clients via phone, email, and social media to schedule meetings and product demonstrations.
  • Develop tailored pitches to capture interest and convert leads into long-term business relationships.
  • Follow up consistently with prospects to move them through the sales funnel.

Sales Support and Order Handling

  • Manage all incoming and outgoing customer communications related to orders, troubleshooting, and general product inquiries.
  • Process customer orders accurately, provide detailed product information, and assist with device delivery and setup coordination.
  • Serve as a key point of contact for follow-up questions, feature guidance, and ongoing client support throughout the sales cycle.
  • Maintain clear and organized documentation of customer conversations, order details, and follow-ups using internal tools.
  • Collaborate closely with the sales and fulfillment teams to ensure timely order processing and customer satisfaction.

Market Research & Strategy

  • Research industry trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to identify sales opportunities.
  • Provide insights and feedback to improve sales strategies and outreach techniques.

Trade Show & Event Representation

  • Represent OMTech at trade shows, expos, and industry events to promote brand awareness and generate qualified leads.
  • Engage with prospective customers through product demos, live Q&A, and one-on-one conversations to communicate OMTech’s value.
  • Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to support pre-show planning and post-event lead follow-up and reporting.

Qualifications


Required:

  • 1-3 years of experience in sales, business development, or a related field.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage and persuade potential customers.
  • Comfortable working in a high-energy environment that requires persistence and resilience.
  • Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new sales techniques and product offerings.
  • Experience using CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, ZOHO, HubSpot) to manage and track sales activities.
  • Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work independently as well as within a team.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in B2B or B2C sales environments.
  • Previous experience in an outbound sales role or lead generation.
  • Familiarity with e-commerce, retail, or consumer goods industries.

The pay range for this role is:

26 - 30 USD per hour (Santa Ana )
