We are seeking a Senior Project Manager to drive several client-based Professional Services engagements.  This would be a hybrid role, where a mix of remote and onsite work at client locations may be required.


ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITES:

As the Senior Project Manager, you will be responsible for the management of medium to enterprise sized professional services engagements, ensuring they are delivered on-time, within budget, of high quality and exceed client expectations.  This may include managing multiple engagements and/or program concurrently.  Roles and responsibilities include but not limited to:


Project Management


·       Work closely with the assigned client project team to ensure requirements are confirmed, the project plan and delivery schedule are defined prior to project kick-off.

·       Identify resources needed and assign individual responsibilities.  Senior project managers are expected to lead and mentor team members to ensure effective delivery through the entire project lifecycle.

·       Define and manage baseline budgets with focus on avoiding variances.  In situations where variances materialize, efficiently assemble and Red to Green plan and source approval for a rebaseline budget.

·       Manage day-to-day execution of project activities, actively managing scope, quality and cost.

·       Review quality of deliverables prepared by team before releasing to client and work with delivery team to rectify any quality issues prior to client submission.

·       Effectively apply the OnX methodology and enforce project standards.

·       Minimize OnX exposure and risk on projects by applying advanced risk management concepts and ensure that all defined risks have appropriate responses and mitigation plans documented.

·       Ensure all project documents are complete, current, and stored appropriately.

·       Lead all client and internal meetings effectively and efficiently, ensuring that all actions/decisions are properly tracked in the project log and meeting minutes are distributed and properly stored.

·       Own the client relationship through delivery and actively engage with all levels of management to ensure that accurate status in provided on a consistent basis and risks/issues are properly communicated.

·       Own the change management process by leading the definition, composition and closure of all change requests that may arise through project flight.

·       Understand how to communicate difficult/sensitive information tactfully to all levels of management.

·       Demonstrate strong leadership qualities (e.g. influence, motivate).

·       Deliver engaging, informative and well-organized presentations.

·       Effectively manage simultaneous enterprise-wide projects.

·       Excellent communicator, strong presentation skills, leadership skills, results oriented, adaptable to change, exceptional problem solving ability.

·       Liaise between OnX and client executive teams and project teams.

·       Ensure IT deliverables meet business expectations.

 

Relationship Management


As a Senior Project Manager, you are expected to be actively engaged with your client, from the project working team through to sponsorship.  It is important to exhibit a level of commitment that displays the OnX value and strengthens the client relationship.

·       Actively engage with the client project representatives and management to identify new opportunities or upsell of existing services.

·       Collaborate with the Account Executive to funnel back any potential changes in strategy or direction from a client perspective.

·       Understand client objectives and overall roadmap to ensure OnX is aligned and efficiently executing projects to add value to client objectives.

·       Act as a central pillar of the project leading and guiding not only the OnX delivery team but ensuring that the client critical path activities are well defined and support the client subject matter experts in achieving their target milestones.


REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:


·       Superior oral and written communication skills with a strong ability to focus the message and clear ambiguity in any situation.

·       Experience with difficult clients, managing fluid client and project requirements and expectations.

·       History of successfully delivering complex (business, technology and people) projects.

·       Demonstrated background building consensus between OnX and client executive teams and with project delivery.

·       PMP Certified with minimum 7 years of direct project management experience.

·       Strong vendor management and relationship management skills which are consistently applied to all engagement to ensure contracts are honored and work executed to plan.

·       Strong working experience in managing teams of IT and business professionals within a matrix organization to implement enterprise application projects.

·       Demonstrating background managing multiple high-priority client facing projects.

·       Experience managing a variety of professional service engagements interfacing with client stakeholders at all levels.

·       Superior budget management skills, which are used to ensure both internal and external partner resources, are executing to baseline plan on a consistent basis and variances are avoided using proactive analysis management.

·       Full understanding of professional services revenue recognition process, specifically related to forecasting and cost management.

·       Experience and exposure to ITIL.

·       Proficient using MS Project.

·       Excellent client facing and team management skills working collaboratively with employees, vendors and internal stake-holders.

·       Excellent working knowledge of Project Management Methodology and Software Development Life Cycle.

·       Solid understanding of various types of contractual agreements such as Non-Disclosure Agreement, Teaming Agreement, Master Services Agreement.

The pay range for this role is:

95,000 - 110,000 CAD per year (Remote)
