Machine Operator I – Night Shift  


This is a full-time hourly position that works primarily during night shift (Mon-Thu 4pm-3am) but may be required to adjust working hours as needed to adequately lead the team and meet production demands. 


Manufacturing Support team member Essential Job Functions: 

In this role, you will be a part of a dynamic team in all aspects of manufacturing high-quality components in a fast-paced environment. As a team member, you will be a part of daily production activities assigned by your team lead. Through the practice of utilizing a daily management system, you will have the opportunity to provide feedback towards process improvements and lean initiatives. 

  • Manufacture complex gun components utilizing 2x Lathes with live tooling and special process equipment 
  • Ensure the process operates in accordance with defined standards 
  • Follow set production schedule, and report any problems to the Team Lead 
  • In-process inspection utilizing Mics, Calipers, Indicators, Mahr systems, Air Gauges 
  • Maintain quality system by following ISO standard practices 
  • Tool Change/ Tool setting in accordance to set procedures 
  • Tool wear offsets to ensure the highest quality of parts 
  • Deburring parts as needed, provide feedback when applicable 
  • Operate multiple machines, as needed 
  • Housekeeping 

 

Other Job Functions: 

  • Assist with improvement -related projects, questions, and solving problems as needed. 
  • Participate in department responses to corrective actions, and preventative actions 
  • Perform routine safety, quality, and work skills training. 
  • Other duties as assigned. 
     

Basic Qualifications: 

  • Must be 18 years of age or older 
  • This position requires use of information or access to hardware subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. 
  • This position requires the successful candidate to not be a prohibited person under the Gun Control Act (GCA), codified at 18 U.S.C. § 922(g).

  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing principles

Environmental and Working Conditions: 

  • Work is performed on a 10 acre, 6 campus building; potential need to move between buildings. Must have physical ability to walk between buildings as necessary. 
  • Work is performed in a manufacturing environment with exposure to typical machinery and equipment. 
  • Must wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in designated areas. 
  • Requires the ability to occasionally lift up to 75 lbs 
  • Standing for extended periods and moving around the production floor frequently. 
  • CMMC 2.0 Compliant
