As we continue to grow, we are seeking a highly motivated Facilities Lab Technician to join our team to support the maintenance and smooth operation of laboratory and facility systems.


Job responsibilities

  • Set up, calibrate, and maintain laboratory equipment and detailed records of equipment performance and calibration logs.
  • Assist with facility upgrades, equipment setup, general technical support, and lab reconfigurations
  • Respond to emergency maintenance requests and troubleshoot issues.
  • Assist in maintaining cleanliness, organization, and safety within the lab and adhere to quality control standards.
  • Conduct and coordinate routine inspections, repairs, and troubleshooting of lab instruments and general lab facilities to ensure proper functionality.
  • Coordinate with vendors and contractors for facility-related services or repairs.
  • Oversee and manage chemical and consumables inventory, ordering supplies, and tracking deliveries.
  • Support the implementation of EH&S (Environmental Health & Safety) programs and industry regulations.
  • Ensure compliance with lab safety protocols, including PPE and chemical handling.
  • Coordinate hazardous waste disposal according to regulatory standards.
  • Participate in audits and inspections.
  • Implement and follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) for role-specific operations.


Skills and proficiencies

  • Associate or bachelor's degree in mechanical or chemical engineering or related relevant scientific field.
  • Mechanical, electrical, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Basic knowledge of laboratory techniques and procedures.
  • Excellent communication and ability to work both independently and collaboratively and manage multiple tasks.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Previous experience in industrial work setting (preferred).
  • Experience with handling, disposal, and storage of hazardous materials.
  • Knowledge of chemical safety, safety protocols, and standards (OSHA).
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and methodologies.

What we offer

  • Salary of $40,000 to $45,000 depending on skills and experience.

The pay range for this role is:

40,000 - 45,000 USD per year (United States)
