About the role

The primary purpose of the Fund Paralegal is to provide services to support Tidal’s exchange-traded fund (“ETF”) platform. The Fund Paralegal position is part of the Legal group within Tidal and will support Tidal’s legal team. In addition, the Fund Paralegal is a key point of contact with Tidal’s clients. The Fund Paralegal will receive training commensurate with experience level to assist Tidal’s legal team in preparing and filing registration statements with the SEC. 

What you'll do

In the position, the Paralegal will primarily assist Tidal with the preparation of fund registration statements (e.g., statutory prospectuses, summary prospectuses, and statements of additional information) including initial, annual, and amended registration statement filings and supplemental filings thereto. The Fund Paralegal will create and manage timelines associated with these filings and collaborate with Tidal Compliance, Marketing, and Fund Administration teams, and also with external legal counsel, auditing firms, and external service providers.

Qualifications

  • Two or more years of ETF or mutual fund registration statement experience is required. 
  • Knowledge of Form N-1A and SEC EDGAR filing form types is preferred.
  • Self-starter with strong organizational and proofreading skills, solid communication and interpersonal skills (both oral and written), and above average drafting/writing skills.
  • Strong ability to prioritize and work concurrently on a variety of projects.
  • The ability to work well independently and collaborate, often within tight time constraints.
  • Resourcefulness in problem-solving.
  • Strong Microsoft Word skills are required. Ability to adapt to new software and processes.
  • Knowledge of SEC rules and regulations applicable to ETFs is desired, but not required.
  • Associate’s degree is preferred, though previous directly related experience may be accepted in lieu of a degree.
  • Full time; evenings may be required during peak periods.
Work from home! Tidal is a fully remote organization. Employees who live in proximity to one of Tidal’s offices (Milwaukee, or Chicago) may elect to work in an office.
