Fund Administration – Senior Administrator

About the role

As a Fund Administrator, you will be an integral team member with the focus of helping support the day-to-day financial and compliance operations of exchange-traded funds initially and then other registered investment vehicles to follow. What you'll do

• Monitoring and reviewing a fund budget based on contractual agreements, fee proposals and expense activity trends.

• Helping prepare and review client board of trustees meeting materials. This may involve attendance of meetings and presentation of materials.

• Helping prepare and review financial statements (e.g., statement of assets and liabilities, schedule of investments, statement of operations, statement of changes in net assets, statement of cash flows and accompanying financial footnotes) for client shareholders and the SEC in order to comply with GAAP and regulatory reporting requirements. This process involves being the liaison between internal departments, external legal counsel, fund auditors and our clients.

• Testing and reviewing portfolio compliance to ensure fund adherence to the Investment Company Act of 1940, stated prospectus limitations and internal revenue code guidelines.

• Developing knowledge to empower you to mentor teammates and communicate effectively with investment advisor clients.

• Assisting Fund Administration Managers in the coordination of ad-hoc projects which can include trust and fund launches and fund mergers and acquisitions (M&A) activity.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, economics or finance, or equivalent work experience

• Four to eight years of related work experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of investments and security types

• Understanding of legal, regulatory, and accounting principles

• Acknowledgement of ethics and compliance

• Organized an attentive to detail

• Ability to manage multiple tasks, projects, and deadlines simultaneously

• Effective verbal and written communication skills

• Proficient computer navigation skills

• Intermediate to expert Microsoft Excel ability

• Willingness to learn new and sometimes complex concepts

Work from home! Tidal is a fully remote organization. Employees who live in proximity to Tidal’s Milwaukee, Chicago, Detroit, and New York offices have the option to work in the office as their schedule allows.


The successful candidate will have extensive demonstrable skills and experiences including the following:

· Energetic self-starter with strong organizational and proofreading skills, excellent communication, interpersonal skills (both verbal and written), and strong drafting/writing skills.

· Ability to prioritize and work concurrently on a variety of projects.

· The ability to work well independently and collaboratively, often within tight time constraints.

· Strong computer skills required, including excellent typing skills, and in-depth understanding of Microsoft Word. Proven ability to adapt to new software and processes.

· Two or more years of legal/compliance environment experience, ideally in a mutual fund/ETF, financial services, or law firm environment with exposure to securities matters is desired.

· Knowledge of SEC rules and regulations applicable to mutual funds/ETFs is desired, but not required.

· BA degree preferred, although will consider an associate degree with previous related experience.
