About the role

As an Assistant Vice president (AVP) of Tax Management, you will be an integral team member with the focus of helping support the day-to-day tax related operations and reporting of exchange-traded funds. Within this role and throughout Tidal Financial Group, we stress partnering with our clients in all aspects of servicing to ensure success in the ETFs they bring to market as well as their overall business success. What you'll do

· Assisting the VP of Tax Management in overseeing of overall Tax Administration Services and being integral in the growth of the firm’s tax services and value-added offerings

· Partnering with Fund Administration leadership and the VP of Tax Management in the continued build-out of tax administration services

· Assist the Fund Administration Team in analysis and calculation of dividend and capital gain distribution rates

· Preparing and reviewing ROCSOP and required tax adjustments and classifications for shareholder reports

· Preparing, reviewing and coordinating filing of income and excise tax returns

· Calculation and monitoring book-to-tax differences

· Supporting quarterly Subchapter M compliance monitoring and reporting with other members of the Fund Administration team

· Providing tax re-allocation data for shareholder 1099 reporting

· Coordinate review of financial statement tax disclosures

· Prepare and review income and excise tax returns for auditor review and signature

· Prepare, review and coordinate review of excise distribution calculations by auditors

· Be the lead on tax impact to all security types within client ETFs

· Be the direct point of contact to service clients on tax administration related matters

· Participate in presentations to prospective clients on tax administration services

Qualifications

· Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance, or equivalent work experience

· Four to six years of related work experience

Preferred Qualifications

· Strong and demonstrated leadership skills

· Must have advanced knowledge of and practical experience in the application of mutual fund industry tax laws and regulations

· Specific experience with exchange-traded funds strongly preferred

· Must be able to manage multiple growth initiatives and projects simultaneously

· Ability to work in a fast paced, team-oriented environment

· Excellent organizational and time management skills

· Ability to embrace and adapt to changing technological environment as well as being exposed to multiple fund accounting and reporting systems


Work from home! Tidal is a fully remote organization. Employees who live in proximity to Tidal’s Milwaukee, Chicago, Detroit, and New York offices have the option to work in the office as their schedule allows.
