About the role

The Senior Vice President of Trust Management will lead experienced teams responsible for overseeing fund administration services to individual ETF trusts. This senior management role requires deep expertise in fund administration, accounting, board governance, regulatory compliance, and client servicing, as well as proven leadership in managing high-performing teams within the asset management and servicing industry. 

This senior manager will be responsible for several administration teams, each lead by experienced fund administration managers, that service ETFs (and to a limited extent, mutual funds) within the trusts that Tidal sponsors or external trusts sponsored by Tidal clients and partners. This role requires a strong ability to manage and oversee a growing team of 15 professionals managing our trust relationships. Including the above requirements, this ideal candidate will be organized, adaptable to pace of work, which will change frequently, and will have a proven ability to work cross-functionally with an increasing number of various service providers and clients in the ETF ecosystem, as well as all internal groups within the organization. We prefer the candidate to bring strong ETF industry experience, although not required dependent on a level of mutual fund experience, and a collaborative mindset.  

What you'll do

• Manage and oversee multiple ETF trust fund administration teams, ensuring effective coordination of all activities. 

• Lead the preparation and delivery of board materials and trustee reporting with a focus on accuracy, timeliness, and transparency. 

• Oversee and coordinate all SEC regulatory filings, ensuring strict compliance with federal requirements. 

• Review, approve, and monitor fund expense payments, ensuring accuracy and adherence to accounting standards. 

• Act as a primary liaison with trust managers and boards of trustees, fostering strong communication and governance support. 

• Develop, mentor, and manage administrative staff, building leadership pipelines and succession readiness. 

• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to strengthen client servicing and support for mutual fund and ETF products. 

• Drive process improvements to enhance operational efficiency, regulatory compliance, and service quality. 

• Provide strategic oversight of controls, policies and procedures to ensure operational effectiveness and regulatory compliance across the fund administration department. 

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field required. Advanced degree or professional certification (CPA, CFA) preferred. 

• 15+ years of progressive experience in fund administration at a large mutual fund or ETF service provider. 

• Extensive experience in mutual fund/ETF client servicing and trust administration. 

• Strong accounting background with deep understanding of derivatives (e.g. swaps, futures, options, forward currency contracts). 

• Demonstrated success in managing SEC filings, compliance reporting, and board materials. 

• Proven leadership and team management skills, with ability to motivate and develop high-performing teams. 

• Exceptional communication, organizational, and relationship management skills.
