About Optigon

Optigon is a startup based out of Greentown Labs that is developing smarter quality control tools and research instruments for clean energy materials. We are seeking a motivated Electrical Engineering Intern to join our team for Summer 2025.

Overview

In this role, you'll have the opportunity to help lead the design, manufacturing, and testing of Optigon's next generation measurement tools. Applicants interested in circuit design, PCB layout, FPGA/uController firmware development are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with engineering team to define technical specification
• Design, fabricate/develop, test, and integrate PCBs/embedded firmware
• Participate in design reviews to provide feedback and suggest improvements
• Assist in development of infrastructure and procedures
• Document designs, test results, and other relevant information

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
• Familiarity with CAD software (Altium preferred)
• Familiarity with embedded development tools
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of project
• Excellent communication and willingness to work on a team
• Prior experience with PCB development or embedded development is a plus
