About the role

We are seeking a senior HR leader eager to join our team. The ideal candidate will be ready to dive into all aspects of the role, from managing daily HR tasks to spearheading strategic initiatives. This position offers an excellent opportunity for those aspiring to advance into a people operations executive role. This role leads our human resources function, responsible for overseeing a comprehensive suite of HR functions, including strategic recruitment, employee relations, performance management, compliance with labor laws, and benefits administration. They develop and implement HR strategies that are aligned with Orderful's vision and objectives, promoting an engaging and inclusive workplace culture. This role is crucial for driving Orderful’s growth by optimizing our organizational effectiveness and nurturing our talent.


What you'll do

  • Oversee Talent Lifecycle: Handle sourcing, recruitment, onboarding, and offboarding processes, while supporting continuous employee development and performance management.
  • Lead HR Strategy and Execution: Oversee all aspects of human resources, from strategic planning to operational management, ensuring alignment with broader company goals. Utilize HR analytics to generate insights on workforce trends and metrics, driving data-driven decisions to enhance organizational effectiveness and strategy alignment.
  • Foster Employee Engagement: Manage key organizational events and programs that enhance employee satisfaction and promote a positive workplace culture.
  • Manage Benefits and Compensation: Negotiate and administer employee benefits and compensation structures, ensuring they are competitive and compliant with regulatory standards.
  • Uphold Compliance and Policy Development: Develop, implement, and maintain HR policies and procedures that comply with legal requirements, managing all related training and audits.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in HR, with at least 3 years in a senior managerial role in the tech sector. 
  • Proven experience working collaboratively with executive teams, demonstrating assertiveness and persuasive communication skills to influence decisions and drive organizational change.
  • Experience working with a software start-up is preferred. 
  • Must have your CPHR or SHRM certification, or equivalent.
  • Strong knowledge of HR functions, best practices, and software tools (e.g., Rippling, 15Five).
  • Experience with employment laws in both Canada and the U.S.
  • Ability to travel for company offsites and events.
  • Must be able to work PST hours.

The pay range for this role is:

150,000 - 180,000 USD per year (Remote - United States)

130,000 - 175,000 CAD per year (Remote - Canada)
