General Summary: We are seeking a versatile and proactive Customer Service & Warehouse Specialist to join our new European Distribution Center (EDC) in Breda. This dynamic role combines customer service activities, transport arrangements, warehouse operations, and the inspection of returned instruments and implant sets. As part of a newly established team, you will be instrumental in ensuring operational excellence while wearing multiple hats in a growing environment.


You will take on a wide range of responsibilities throughout the day such as processing customer orders or arranging transport, assisting with inbound warehouse tasks or outbound picking, and invoicing customers and managing cash collections. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:


  1. Customer Service Activities:
  • Handle inquiries from EMEA agents and distributors, providing professional and timely support.
  • Process orders, manage customer emails, and ensure accurate order entry.
  • Coordinate transport arrangements to ensure timely and efficient delivery of goods.
  • Manage returns and provide updates to customers on the status of their requests.
  • Maintain accurate records and provide ongoing communication with stakeholders.


2. Warehouse Operations:

  • Assist with inbound activities such as receiving and putting away inventory.
  • Support outbound processes, including picking, packing, and shipping orders.
  • Conduct regular stock checks to ensure inventory accuracy and proper organization.
  • Keep the warehouse clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards.


3. Instrument and Implant Set Return Inspection:

  • Inspect returned instruments and implant sets for quality, completeness, and compliance with standards.
  • Document findings, log repairs or replacements, and communicate results to relevant teams.
  • Ensure returned items are processed efficiently and prepared for redistribution.


4. Administrative Tasks:

  • Invoice customers accurately and manage cash collections at the end of the day.
  • Ensure all documentation is complete and complies with company policies and procedures.
  • Assist in reporting and data entry as needed to support operations.


5. Flexibility to Perform Multiple Roles:

  • Adapt to different tasks throughout the day as business needs evolve.
  • Take ownership of various responsibilities, from customer emails to warehouse picking and product inspections.
  • Contribute to the overall success of the EDC, taking on additional roles as needed to support the team.



QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.   • Prior experience in customer service, logistics, warehouse operations, or product inspection, preferably in a medical device or healthcare setting.
  • Familiarity with transport arrangements and coordinating shipments.
  • Knowledge of inventory management and warehouse processes.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills with a focus on customer satisfaction.
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with ERP systems like Business Central is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of logistical flows, supply chain management, and customer service operations.
  • Experience with ERP systems implementation, ideally Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with proficiency in English; additional European languages are a plus.
  • Adjust priorities and manage time wisely in a fast-paced environment.
  • Maintain documents and records pertaining to work force.
  • Communicate in a clear, concise, understandable manner, and listen attentively to others, and understand material.
  • Ability to travel as needed.


LANGUAGE SKILLS: English is a must, additional European languages are a plus.


Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Requires a valid driver’s license.


Other Skills and Abilities: Requires the ability to operate a variety of standard office equipment, such as a computer and keyboard, calculator, fax, photocopier, telephone, cell phone, etc. Requires proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.

The noise level in the work environment is that found in a “normal warehouse & office environment; noise levels during visits to other locations in the building may be moderate and occasionally loud. The employee occasionally performs work related to travel.
