About Overland AI
Founded in 2022 and headquartered in Seattle, Washington, Overland AI is transforming land operations for modern defense. The company leverages over a decade of advanced research in robotics and machine learning, as well as a field-test forward ethos, to deliver combined capabilities for unit commanders. Our OverDrive autonomy stack enables ground vehicles to navigate and operate off-road in any terrain without GPS or direct operator control. Our intuitive OverWatch C2 interface provides commanders with precise coordination capabilities essential for mission success.
Overland AI has secured funding from prominent defense tech investors including 8VC and Point 72, and built trusted partnerships with DARPA, the U.S. Army, Marine Corps, and Special Operations Command. Backed by eight-figure contracts across the Department of Defense, we are strengthening national security by iterating closely with end users engaged in tactical operations.
Role Summary
As an Associate Production Technician at Overland AI, you will play a key role in building out our production processes and systems as we continue to scale the manufacturing of our best-in-class autonomous ground vehicle (AGV), ULTRA.
This role has split responsibilities, supporting the movement of goods and inventory to support production, while also building your familiarization and understanding of how our autonomy hardware integrates into our vehicles.
With these split responsibilities, our goal is to allow you to come in and make an immediate impact while providing a pathway to grow your technician skills and experience across the full lifecycle of our prototype and production efforts.
This role is designed for a candidate that is excited to learn and grow and try new things, but just hasn’t had the chance to do so. Daily responsibilities and the split of work will evolve based on current needs, and long term the role will evolve to better align with individual strengths and career trajectory after you’ve had the chance to try our different areas.
