Mission
Pandowealth is looking for a Tax Advisor to serve our clients’ tax needs in a timely and accurate manner.
In the Tax Advisor role, you will have the opportunity to be a true team player as you prepare tax returns, are a liaison for tax and other service lines, train paraplanners in the tax preparation process, and interact with clients to meet their tax needs. In this role, you will be able to grow as you develop into a Subject Matter Expert with training and support from the tax team. We are also seeking someone with a strategic problem-solving mindset who can be a problem-solver for advanced tax cases and can help refine our processes to better serve our clients.
As a Tax Advisor at Pandowealth, you will play a crucial role in supporting our clients' tax needs while gaining valuable experience in the field of taxation and accounting. You will work under the guidance of experienced tax professionals and contribute to the successful execution of various tax-related tasks and projects.
Essential Responsibilities
Tax Preparation and Compliance:
- Proficient in tax preparation and a propensity for tax review.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations.
- Verify the accuracy of financial data and documentation.
Client Communication:
- Collaborate with clients to gather necessary tax-related information and documents.
- Address client inquiries and provide explanations regarding tax matters.
- Maintain strong client relationships through clear and professional communication.
Tax Research and Analysis:
- Conduct research on tax laws, regulations, and updates.
- Analyze tax implications for various financial transactions.
- Stay updated on changes in tax legislation and their impact on clients.
Compliance
- Supports Compliance to maintain an effective and robust investment advisory compliance program.
- Performs other compliance-related tasks and projects as assigned.
Position Specifics
Experience and Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Must have or be pursuing the requirements to be a licensed Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Enrolled Agent (EA)
- Strong tax research skills
- Demonstrated quality service mindset, strong technical aptitude, and critical thinking skills
- Excellent communication, time management, and project management skills; flexible and adaptable team player; and resourceful in delivering high-quality work
- Mid-Level experience in tax or financial services
Skills:
- Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, and listening)
- Technically savvy and capable of integrating into a virtual work environment
- Works well with detailed assignments
- Proficient in Google Drive
- Proficiency in Salesforce preferred
- Demonstrates personal integrity, and honesty and can deal with confidential information daily
- Models professionalism in the workplace and when speaking with clients and vendors
- Ability to deal with stress in an ever-changing investment market and financial services
- Excellent time management and strong organizational skills, and ability to prioritize multiple tasks and anticipate potential problems
Firm Information
Location: Remote
Status: Full-Time, Exempt
Compensation Range: $50,000 - $85,000 base pay; plus incentives and designation pay
