Role Overview
The Associate Advisor at Pandowealth is an integral part of our team serving as the true connection between our clients, support team, and advisors. This great communicator, influencer, and enthusiastic person will support the vision, positive culture, and team spirit.
The Associate Advisor provides technical financial planning and investment management work, either, under the management of higher-level professionals or on their own through our Personal CFO offering. They usually work with other professional planners in the firm and are under the supervision of a Lead Advisor and/or Senior Advisor. They have decision-making abilities on client plans, investment processes and procedures, operational processes and procedures, and client affairs. They have obtained the proper licensing and experience to work directly with clients. They primarily perform supervisory functions to lower level professionals and oversee the back office, and support functions to higher level professional advisors relating to ensuring client satisfaction is at the highest level.
The Associate Advisor also provides support to the Advisor Team by assisting with scheduling meetings, meeting preparation, investment due diligence, and participant rollover paperwork for Business Retirement Plan (BRP) clients. This role will be critical in learning and developing plan presentations, participant engagement, and ERISA plan design. They will also work with high-level franchise employees and key people in the client’s organization, provide enrollment education, and educate them on retirement readiness. In addition, the Associate will support plan participant requests, enrollment meetings, BRP contract development, Investment Policy Statement development and the overall sales process.
The primary responsibility is managing a group of client relationships and other employees under their supervision to carry out the best client service.
Responsibilities
Personal CFO Client and Advisory Engagement
- Communicates to address client’s needs, objectives, goals, concerns and planning tools; communicating and representing clients with those outside the organization, and other external sources to carry out the goals of client service. Ensures phones are answered promptly and professionally.
- Attends client meetings to take notes, provide insight as necessary, send call summaries, and ensure action items are complete.
- Provides guidance and expert advice to management, clients or other groups outside the organization on technical financial, investment, or tax planning needs, systems, or process-related topics.
- Analyzes information and evaluates results to choose the best solution to solve client or operational problems and being accountable and held responsible for those decisions.
- Ensures the compiling, coding, categorizing, calculating, tabulating, auditing, reconciling, downloading and verifying of client data in the organizations’ client-related software programs, including CRM’s, Financial Planning Software, Investment Management software, and other related or connected programs is completed according to procedure.
- Observes, receives, and otherwise obtains information from all relevant sources to make sure client accounts are up to date. Translates or explains what information means and how it can be used by other professionals.
- Identifies concerns, problems, or opportunities within client accounts or households and notifies, updates, or corrects the client information before it becomes a problem for the more professional advisors or the relationship with the client.
- Identifies information by categorizing, estimating, recognizing differences or similarities, and detecting changes in circumstances or events, in the relationship and the data of the clients.
- Uses relevant information and individual judgment to determine whether events or processes comply with laws, regulations, or standards.
- Analyzes client information and evaluates results to choose the best solution and solve problems.
- Utilizes the ability to add, subtract, multiply, or divide numbers quickly and correctly. The in-depth understanding of the time value of money: present value, future value, annuity payments, internal rate of return, and compounding interest.
- Engages and prepares client onboarding requirements with financial planning software.
BRP Client and Advisory Engagement
- Supports BRP Advisory team and ERISA plan clients through resource preparation of their financial, investment, and risk outcomes.
- Supports and responds to requests from the plan sponsor and provides timely solutions.
- Serves as a resource for Pandowealth’s Institutional clients with complex wealth management needs and financial planning solutions.
- Meets with Pandowealth’s Institutional clients regularly to ensure investments align with their goals, risk tolerance, and personal situations.
- Identifies concerns, problems, or opportunities within BRP client accounts and notifies, updates, or corrects the client information prior to it becoming a problem for the more professional advisors or the relationship with the client.
- Analyzes and prepares BRP presentations to assist with choosing the best solution and solving problems.
- Updates CRM with client data and works through the client process.
Compliance
- Supports Compliance to maintain an effective and robust investment advisory compliance program.
- Updates CRM with client data and works through client process.
- Performs other compliance-related tasks and projects as assigned.
Experience and Education:
- Bachelor’s degree
- Pursuit of CFP® designation
- Pursuit of Retirement Plan Fundamentals certification a plus
- Series 65 license preferred
- 0-2 years of direct advisory focus and ERISA Plan experience
Qualifications :
- Excellent communication skills (verbal, written and listening)
- Technically savvy and capable of integrating into a virtual work environment
- Proficient in Google Drive
- Proficiency in Salesforce preferred
- Knowledge of Broker Dealer and Investment Advisory Regulations a plus
- Demonstrates personal integrity, honesty and can deal with confidential information daily
- Models professionalism in the workplace and when speaking with clients and vendors
- Ability to deal with stress in an ever-changing investment market and financial services
- Excellent time management and strong organizational skills, and ability to prioritize multiple tasks and anticipate potential problems
Firm Information
Location: Remote
Status: Full-Time, Exempt
Compensation Range: $50,000 - $85,000 base pay; plus incentives and designation pay
