About the role

  • The Personal Lines Account Manager will be responsible for the daily ongoing management and retention of clients through superior customer service & communication, while maintaining a partnership with the Producer to support business. The Personal Lines Account Manager will proactively promote insurance products, including quoting new and existing clients, conduct accurate data entry, and uphold PIA’s core values.

What you'll do

  • Independently manage accounts on a day-to-day basis including coordinating all services  
  • Utilize strong interpersonal & communication skills to maintain and enhance relationships with existing clients, agents, company representatives and co-workers 
  • Primary contact between clients and insurance carrier, maintaining continuous communication and providing solutions to meet clients needs for coverage and costs 
  • Negotiate and secure the most appropriate carrier coverage based on client needs for new and renewal business 
  • Conduct research, analyze facts, prepare necessary documents, and ensure accurate submission of applications to carriers, following all applicable binding procedures 
  • Present proposals, bind coverage, address invoicing, endorsements, and cancellations in a timely manner, verifying accuracy and coverage adequacy as well as reduce loss ratios 
  • Issue insurance certificates, binders, ID cards, and Proof of Insurance while preserving confidentiality 
  • Efficiently enter and maintain accounts/policies in Agency Management System while servicing a current suspense 
  • Maintain licensing requirements and training, keeping up to date on industry information, underwriting guidelines, new product information, coverage, and technology 
  • Represent the company with a positive, ethical, timely and professional attitude over the phone, in writing and in person at all times 
  • Multi-task in an ever-changing environment, while balancing collaboration with autonomy 
  • Duties, responsibilities, and activities may change, or new ones may be assigned at any time with or without notice 

Qualifications

  • 5+ years Insurance Account Management experience
  • High school diploma (or equivalent) required
  • Computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite and agency management system experience (Applied EPIC, preferred)

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

  • Applicable state required Property & Casualty License
  • CISR preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree is preferred but not required

Physical and Mental Requirements

  • Works with Minimal Supervision

The pay range for this role is:

64,000 - 90,000 USD per year (Roseville Office)
