Job Summary
The Commercial Lines Account Manager is responsible for building strong client relationships and delivering exceptional service while managing a diverse middle-market book of business. This role oversees full-cycle account management, including renewals, endorsements, billing, claims, certificates of insurance,and daily servicing. The ideal candidate has a solid understanding of commercial P&C insurance, follows structured processes with accuracy, communicates effectively, and identifies cross-selling opportunities to grow client accounts.
Duties/Responsibilities
- Manage and service a mix of small and middle-market commercial lines book of business, ensuring client retention and satisfaction.
- Handle all aspects of account management, including new business, renewals, re-marketing, binding, endorsements, claims, certificates, and billing.
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships through proactive communication and exceptional service.
- Identify and pursue cross-selling and account rounding opportunities to grow the book of business.
- Review policies and coverage with clients to ensure adequate protection and make recommendations as needed.
- Collaborate with producers, underwriters, and carriers to negotiate terms, resolve issues, and secure competitive coverage.
- Provide timely, accurate responses to client inquiries, including certificates of insurance, policy changes, and claims assistance.
- Maintain thorough documentation of client interactions, coverage details, and transactions in the agency management system.
- Ensure compliance with agency procedures, carrier guidelines, and industry regulations.
- Stay current with market trends, carrier products, and industry best practices to better serve clients.
- Support teammates by sharing knowledge, collaborating on complex accounts, and contributing to a positive team environment.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- 5-10 years of P&C Commercial Lines Account Management experience.
- High School diploma or equivalent required. Associate or Bachelor’s Degree is a plus.
- Experience with an agency management system is required, experience with Applied Epic is preferred.
- Experience with Epic Manager Renewals and Ascend is preferred.
Physical Requirements
- Prolonged periods of sitting or standing to perform computer-based tasks.
- Occasionally lifting or carrying items up to 10 pounds.

The pay range for this role is:
70,000 - 90,000 USD per year (Roseville Office)
