About the role

We are looking for a Senior SAP S/4HANA Developer (Technical Expert) to lead the development of high-performance ABAP solutions and modernize legacy systems in line with clean-core principles. You will design RAP-based applications, build OData services, and drive best practices while mentoring junior developers and partnering with functional teams to deliver scalable, future-ready SAP solutions.

What you'll do

• Design, develop, and optimize complex SAP S/4HANA ABAP solutions, ensuring high performance, scalability, and maintainability.
• Lead development of HANA-optimized applications using CDS Views, AMDP, and RAP (ABAP RESTful Application Programming Model).
• Develop and expose OData services (V2/V4) to support SAP Fiori and external system integration.
• Perform legacy code remediation—migrating ECC custom logic to S/4HANA (ACDOCA, MATDOC, BP), replacing BDC/screen logic with BAPIs and OData APIs.
• Implement clean-core development practices, leveraging extensibility frameworks (In-App, On-Stack, Side-by-Side with BTP).
• Conduct debugging, performance tuning, and optimization of ABAP applications across SAP modules.
• Participate in technical workshops, translating functional specs into technical designs and high-quality SAP solutions.
• Drive adherence to clean ABAP standards, ATC checks, Git-based workflows, and code lifecycle discipline.
• Mentor mid-level and junior ABAP developers, providing best practices for S/4HANA and RAP-based development.

Qualifications

• Experience: 7–15 years of SAP ABAP development; minimum 5+ years with S/4HANA.
• Technical Skills:
• • Advanced ABAP and OOP ABAP expertise, including enhancements, BADIs, BAPIs, and user exits.
  • Strong skills in CDS Views (annotations, analytical layers), AMDP, RAP, and advanced SQL for HANA.
  • SAP Fiori app development and SAP Gateway/OData service implementation.
  • Integration across SAP and non-SAP systems using APIs, Proxies, IDocs, and ALE.
• Modernization Expertise: Proven track record of code remediation, simplification, and optimization aligned with SAP S/4HANA clean-core principles.
• Development Discipline: Experience with Git-based version control, automated testing, ATC checks, and peer reviews.
• Strong debugging, problem-solving, and technical documentation skills.
