About the Role

We are seeking a Mid-Level Functional Consultant – HCM to join PARA Consulting’s HCM implementation team.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience supporting HCM implementations, documenting business processes, creating UAT scripts, and assisting with end-to-end system delivery. You will work closely with senior consultants, technical teams, and project managers to support requirement gathering, testing, and go-live readiness.

This role is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, structured, collaborative, and comfortable working directly with clients while delivering high-quality functional support throughout the implementation lifecycle.

What You’ll Do

  • Support HCM implementations by gathering, documenting, and validating business and functional requirements
  • Develop clear and structured process documentation, workflows, and UAT test scripts
  • Execute UAT testing, validate results, and ensure traceability to business requirements
  • Participate in client meetings, discovery sessions, system demos, and go-live support
  • Translate business needs into logical HCM system configurations and workflows
  • Collaborate with technical and project teams to ensure alignment and timely delivery
  • Contribute to internal best practices, templates, and knowledge documentation
  • Support issue tracking, testing feedback, and implementation follow-ups

    Minimum Qualifications (Required)
  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, IT, Business Administration, or a related field
  • 2–5 years of experience as a Functional Consultant, Business Analyst, or similar role
  • Experience working with HCM platforms such as Rippling, Workday, UKG, ADP, or similar
  • Experience creating functional documentation, process maps, and UAT test scripts
  • Strong organizational and written/verbal communication skills
  • Ability to interpret business requirements and translate them into functional HCM configurations
  • Ability to work effectively in a remote, team-based environment

Preferred Qualifications

(Not required, but will make you stand out)

  • Experience coordinating small project workstreams or supporting junior team members
  • Exposure to complex HR environments (benefits, time tracking, payroll-related workflows)
  • Experience supporting multi-country or multi-entity HCM implementations
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously

A Day in the Life

You start your day syncing with the team on priorities and project updates before joining a client discovery or requirements session. You help translate HR and people operations needs into clear functional requirements and begin updating documentation and test scripts.

Throughout the day, you support UAT execution, review results, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve issues and remove blockers. You may join stakeholder validation sessions, walk through test outcomes, and capture feedback to ensure expectations are met.

You balance hands-on execution with structured analysis—whether you’re refining workflows, supporting a payroll or benefits configuration, or preparing for go-live. You wrap up your day knowing your work is directly contributing to successful HCM implementations delivered with accuracy and care.

The pay range for this role is:
