About the role

We're looking for a technical leader who can own engineering end-to-end, architecture, delivery, and team direction while staying hands-on. We operate AI-first. Claude Code is the primary development environment across the engineering team, and AI tools are embedded into how we build, test, and ship.

This is a Malta-office based position on a hybrid model.

Roles & Responsibilities: 

• Technical direction across a portfolio of content websites generating real revenue
• Engineering team leadership; set standards, drive delivery velocity, and align engineering work with business outcomes
• AI tooling and automation strategy; Claude Code, OpenClaw, and agentic workflows are core to how we operate
• Deployment and delivery pipeline; ensuring business decisions reach production quickly and reliably
• Architecture decisions that balance speed, reliability, and scale

Requirements:

• Experience leading a technical team and making architecture decisions with business impact
• Production experience with AI-assisted development tools (Claude Code, Cursor, or similar)
• Hands-on, write code, review code, and ship code alongside your team
• Comfortable across the stack: Python, Node, or PHP
• Strong SQL and database experience
• Experience simplifying or decommissioning systems, not just building new ones

Candidates who have not actively used Claude Code and OpenClaw will not be considered
