Sales Development Representative (SDR)

Who we’re looking for:


As a Sales Development Representative you are a sales ninja in the making! You have the unique ability to create deals from inquiries and to seek opportunities for new potential clients. You’ll support the sales team through lead generation efforts and sales development opportunities. You’ll be responsible for internally coordinating and reporting on the leads you develop.


Most importantly, you’re someone who shares in our passion for improving the lives of students through communication. 


This role will include:

  • Taking incoming leads that come from our website, conferences, email blasts or webinars and gather basic information from the lead to pass along qualified opportunities
  • Sourcing prospects, developing opportunities and selling to a select group of small to medium sized business accounts within our team based setting
  • Communicating to generated leads within a set timeline
  • Updating Hubspot with all key client information 
  • Working directly with our Inside, Field and Enterprise Sales teams to pass along qualified opportunities
  • Developing a strong understanding of our prospects through solution selling techniques
  • Proactively engaging and prospecting new business opportunities and customers through outbound calls and outreach
  • Consistently meet and/or exceed metrics as defined by the Sales Leadership Team
  • Direct phone and email outreach to a targeted group of customers
  • Drive Marketing Qualified Leads (MQL) to a Sales Qualified Lead.

Our ideal candidate will have the following:

  • Experience selling into the K12 market.
  • 3+ years of direct or inside sales experience
  • 2+ years proven ability to hunt and prospect for sales opportunities via outbound calling
  • Demonstrated ability to consistently achieve and exceed quota
  • Proven ability to manage leads, manage a pipeline, and forecasting
  • Proven track record of selling solutions over the phone with persuasive closing techniques
  • Bachelor's degree required
