About the role

As a DevOps Engineer IV, you will play a crucial role in optimizing our development and deployment processes, ensuring the reliability and scalability of our systems, and driving innovation in our technology stack. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement best practices and streamline the software delivery pipeline.


Your expertise in automation, infrastructure management, and continuous integration/delivery (CI/CD) will be vital in achieving our goals. With your experience and skill set, you will be responsible (along with other members of the team) for monitoring infrastructure and developing and deploying processes and systems.


In addition to your technical skills, you have the soft skills and the patience needed to mentor and be a resource to other junior team members.  You enjoy mentoring and teaching others to help lift the skills and experience of the team as a whole.


What you'll do

  • Design, build, and maintain stable and efficient infrastructure to optimize service delivery across multiple environments throughout the development lifecycle.
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, maintain, and continuously improve systems and processes.
  • Actively participate in system architecture discussions and technical design reviews to ensure scalability, reliability, and security.
  • Implement automated infrastructure and processes. 
  • Implement security best practices in infrastructure and applications.
  • Utilize a consistent DevOps approach to improve all phases of the process and ensure end-to-end quality across functions.
  • Introduce and implement innovative techniques and technologies.
  • Contribute to complex aspects of a project.
  • Manage multiple tasks and timelines.
  • Mentor and be a resource to other team members.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related technical field or equivalent practical experience required.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in related systems operations.
  • Expert proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Shell, Node.js, etc.)
  • Strong understanding of common web database types (relational databases, NoSQL, Document, etc.).
  • AWS certifications are a plus.
  • Expert knowledge of Linux server operating systems.
  • Expert understanding of networking, security, and system administration.
  • Expert familiarity with cloud platforms.
  • Expert Knowledge of deployment/configuration management tools.
  • Strong attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and creative thinking skills.
  • Strong ability to self-motivate and think analytically.
  • Demonstrated strong time management skills by consistently delivering projects on time.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively.

        • Ability to work in an office environment, including extended periods of sitting, typing, and computer use.
