Data Analyst [Hybrid in Minnesota]

DATA ANALYST

Reports To: Chief Information Officer

FLSA Classification: Exempt

Location: Hybrid / Remote (occasional onsite meetings - Twin Cities metro)

Hours: Monday - Friday

Pay Grade: $80,000 - $100,000 annually


This position is open only to candidates residing in Minnesota.


JOB SUMMARY:  

The Data Analyst plays a key role in supporting evidence-based decision-making across the organization by collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data related to clinical services, program outcomes, and regulatory compliance. This role involves developing dashboards and reports in Power BI, extracting, and managing data from Procentive EHR, integrating data across HubSpot and Zoom Phone, and supporting performance monitoring, compliance, and quality improvement initiatives. This role is essential for ensuring quality improvement, operational efficiency, and reporting for 245G/245I licensed programs. The ideal candidate brings both technical skill and a working knowledge of behavioral healthcare systems, especially in the context of substance use disorder (SUD) treatment.  

ESSENTIAL DUTIES: 

Data Management & Integration 

  • Extract, clean, and validate data from Procentive EHR, HubSpot CRM, Zoom Phone, and other platforms. 
  • Develop and maintain automated data pipelines and integration processes. 
  • Ensure data accuracy, security, and HIPAA compliance. 

Reporting & Analytics 

  • Build interactive dashboards and reports in Power BI for clinical, operational, revenue cycle, people, finance, and executive teams. 
  • Provide insights on key metrics including client engagement, outcomes, staff productivity, financial performance, and compliance. 
  • Translate complex data into clear, actionable insights for non-technical stakeholders. 

Performance Monitoring & Quality Improvement 

  • Track program outcomes and key performance indicators (KPIs) related to client care and organizational performance. 
  • Support grant reporting, accreditation requirements, and state/federal compliance reporting. 
  • Identify trends and opportunities to improve efficiency and effectiveness of services. 

Collaboration & Support 

  • Partner with leadership, clinical teams, and operations staff to define data needs. 
  • Train staff in using reports and dashboards to inform decision-making. 
  • Support special projects, audits, and continuous improvement initiatives. 
  • Translate data findings into actionable insights to improve care delivery, access, and client engagement. 
  • Assist with data validation during audits or external reviews. 
  • Maintain data governance protocols and ensure data security and confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA. 
  • Provide training and support to staff on data entry standards and using dashboards/reports effectively.

  • Understanding of behavioral health terminology and EHR systems (e.g., Procentive). 
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills. 
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively. 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Statistics, Information Systems, Public Health, or related field. 
  • 2+ years of experience as a data analyst or in a related analytics role. 
  • Proficiency with Power BI (dashboard design, DAX, Power Query, data modeling). 
  • Experience working with EHRs (Procentive preferred), CRMs (HubSpot preferred), and cloud-based communication tools (Zoom Phone or similar). 
  • Strong skills in SQL, Excel, and data cleaning/validation. 
  • Ability to interpret data and communicate insights clearly to non-technical audiences. 
  • Knowledge of HIPAA, data privacy, and security best practices. 
  • Minnesota Department of Human Services (DHS) Background Study clearance. 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • Experience in behavioral health, substance use disorder, or healthcare setting. 
  • Familiarity with ETL tools, APIs, or middleware for system integrations. 
  • Background in performance measurement, outcomes tracking, or healthcare quality improvement. 
  • Experience working in a 245G/245I licensed program or with Minnesota DHS data/reporting systems. 
  • Knowledge of state reporting platforms such as DAANES or Drug and Alcohol Abuse Normative Evaluation System. 
  • Experience with outcomes-based evaluation in a healthcare or nonprofit setting. 
  • Master’s degree in public health, health informatics, data science, or a related field.
