Position Summary: As part of the product organization, the UX Designer will partner with product management, product marketing, and current design team members to ideate innovative and intuitive solutions to fulfill PatientNow’s product roadmap. This role will be critical to ensuring our solutions provide an ideal user experience that both delights customers and ensures they are maximizing real business outcomes. In partnership with current design staff, they will be responsible for continuing the evolution of the PatientNow design system and standards, supporting our position as the industry leading provider of best-in-class aesthetic technology.

  • Partner with product management in discovery and requirements gathering, to ensure solid understanding of user needs and opportunities to deliver easy-to-use capabilities
  • Translate product requirements, including epics, user stories, acceptance criteria, and/or low-fidelity mock-ups into high-fidelity prototypes
  • Incorporate customer feedback or other customer insights into design decisions
  • Ensure timely delivery of design prototypes aligned with quarterly planning cycles to ensure development stays on schedule as planned in roadmap
  • Partner with product management to present prototypes to technical teams and participate in refinement sessions to convey the scope of what needs to be built and the user experience desired
  • Where needed, conduct discovery independently through customer interviews or other feedback sessions on design concepts to ensure alignment with customer needs
  • Proactively identify challenges and recommend solutions to enhance overall user engagement and satisfaction
  • Collaborate with current design staff to create and maintain a design system roadmap, articulating plans to expand and improve the PatientNow design system over time
  • Maintain and organize design assets, including prototypes and other documentation for easy access and reference internally
  • As needed, partner with product management to present on design concepts to other internal stakeholders to help team members understand upcoming changes to our solutions and what the proposed user experience will be
  • Assist in creation of prototypes that demonstrate longer term innovation and product vision, in partnership with the Chief Product Officer, product management leadership, and product marketing leadership

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in interaction design or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 4-5 years in a design or user experience (UX) capacity
  • Familiarity and experience with standard design, prototyping and user research tools, such as Figma, Miro
  • Basic understanding of Agile best practices and scrum ceremonies
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to self-organize
  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively present concepts around user experience and design to technical and non-technical audiences
  • Strong ability to build rapport with internal and external parties, including customers
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work effectively across departments
  • Experience working with desktop, web, and mobile solutions including iOS and Android apps
  • Understanding of Agile development practices a plus
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Comfortable working on a distributed team and collaborating remotely
