The right candidate for this position is someone with extensive experience in Safety who will support our projects. This person will constantly be responsible for successfully integrating safety initiatives into the functional operation of the different projects by maintaining processes and procedures to prevent injuries and violations of the law or company policies and minimize the environmental impact of our operations.

The ideal candidate for this position is a dynamic, professional, positive, and organized HR generalist who enjoys streamlining processes and solving problems. They should be proactive and have experience handling a broad range of human resource and office administrative duties with a strategic mindset. The person should be highly organized and flexible, possess excellent attention to detail, and work independently to support a diverse group of people within the company. WHAT YOU’ll BE DOING:

 

As an HR Generalist at Patriot Erectors, will play a crucial part in supporting a wide range of strategic and operational HR functions, ensuring that they align with our core values. You will collaborate with your fellow HR team and business leaders to support our employees and the organization’s goals.




THE IDEAL TEAM PLAYER WILL

 

Serve as a trusted advisor on HR policies, recruitment, employee relations, compensation, and benefits.

Offer expert guidance to our Payroll and Benefits specialist on benefits and payroll administration, managing employee benefits programs precisely.
Act as a point of contact for employees' benefits inquiries and enrollment support.
Enhance our recruiting efforts by engaging in the interview process, candidate screening, and attending recruitment events.
Be a go-to person for employee inquiries, offering guidance and support and addressing employee relations issues with thorough investigations to ensure policy and legal compliance.
Participate actively in employee disciplinary actions, terminations, and investigations, maintaining a fair and compliant approach.
Oversee the offboarding process, conduct exit interviews, and ensure accurate data recording and communication.

Participates in hiring program activities, including, but not limited to, managing job openings, screening employment applications, assisting in interviewing, and facilitating the hiring process.

Oversee the onboarding process, ensuring a smooth and positive experience for new hires.
Review and manage routine medical-related employee needs, including the Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA) and
Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).

Coordinate with relevant departments to guarantee compliance with safety regulations.
Support HR projects and operational initiatives to contribute to the organization's success.
Demonstrate flexibility and commitment by performing other duties as assigned.

 

 

KEY QUALIFICATIONS:

 


  • KNOWLEDGE:
  • Knowledge of employment law and HR Best practices.
    Strong knowledge of benefits administration and payroll laws.
    Solid knowledge of HRIS and legal reporting requirements.
     
  • SKILLS:
    Ability to prioritize and multi-task effectively
    Excellent organizational and follow-up skills
    Sense of Urgency and Responsiveness
    Good verbal and written communication skills, both verbal and written
    Ability to make decisions following established policies, procedures, and internal controls and to interpret such when necessary.
    Ability to reason and make decisions quickly using good judgment.
    Ability to speak in public, develop, and give presentations to all levels of employees.
  • EXPERIENCE:
    A minimum of 5 total years of experience in an HR generalist role
    Prior experience in the professional services industry, preferably in the steel industry
    Prior experience with Paycor or similar HRIS
    Experience in benefits administration and payroll administration
  • EDUCATION:
    Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or General Business, and/or experience in lieu of education.
    PHR or SHRM-CP Certification preferred.
