The right candidate for this position is someone with extensive experience in Safety who will support our projects. This person will constantly be responsible for successfully integrating safety initiatives into the functional operation of the different projects by maintaining processes and procedures to prevent injuries and violations of the law or company policies and minimize the environmental impact of our operations.
Summary/Objective:
The EHS Coordinator provides essential support to both field and corporate safety teams by managing safety documentation, assisting with training and orientations, and helping ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, specifically those related to Metal Fabrication and Steel Erection in the Construction Industry (29 CFR 1926 Subpart R). This role serves as a critical link between field operations and safety administration, ensuring accurate records, smooth communication, and timely follow-up on safety initiatives.

Work Environment: The work environment characteristics described here represent those an employee typically encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. This position operates primarily in a climate-controlled office setting adjacent to an active steel fabrication and production facility, with periodic visits to active construction sites. Duties may also require time spent in non-climate-controlled production, manufacturing, or field/construction environments.
The role involves regular interaction with shop personnel and exposure to typical industrial conditions, including elevated noise levels, dust, and proximity to operating machinery. When entering fabrication areas, production environments, or construction sites, the employee is required to wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), which may include but is not limited to: hard hats, safety glasses, high-visibility vests, gloves, steel-toe or protective footwear, and hearing protection.
This position frequently uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and photocopiers. While the noise level is generally moderate in office spaces, hearing protection is required in designated high-noise areas.
