The right candidate for this position is someone with extensive experience in Safety who will support our projects. This person will constantly be responsible for successfully integrating safety initiatives into the functional operation of the different projects by maintaining processes and procedures to prevent injuries and violations of the law or company policies and minimize the environmental impact of our operations.

About The Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Junior Project Accounting Specialist to join our Accounting/Finance SG&A team. In this hourly, full-time position, you will play a critical role in supporting the financial aspects of our projects and contributing to the efficient management of company resources. This entry-level role offers an excellent opportunity to grow your career while working in a collaborative and dynamic environment. What You'll Do

• Work closely with project managers to monitor project budgets, costs, and financial performance.
• Prepare and analyze financial reports related to ongoing projects, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company standards.
• Process and track project-related invoices, purchase orders, and payments.
• Assist in monthly and quarterly financial close processes, including reconciliations and variance analysis.
• Maintain accurate financial records and documentation, ensuring data integrity and completeness for all projects.
• Support the team with billing, accounts receivable, and revenue recognition for client projects.
• Collaborate across departments to address financial inquiries and provide project-related insights.
• Identify and escalate discrepancies or irregularities to ensure timely resolution.
• Contribute to process improvements and automation efforts for greater efficiency in project accounting operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; an associate or bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is preferred.
• Basic knowledge of accounting principles and financial processes.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial software or ERP systems.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Fluent in English, both written and verbal.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
• Prior experience or internships in project accounting or financial operations is a plus, but not mandatory.
