About the role

Paubox is looking for a Senior Full Stack Engineer to join our talented and driven engineering team. You’ll work across a wide range of front and back end technologies, with a primary focus on user interface and front-end projects. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing high-quality web applications using Next.js; as well as collaborating with the engineering team and other stakeholders daily to deliver our powerful suite of Paubox services.


This is a fully-remote, US-based position.


Your day-to-day

  • Design, develop, and maintain web applications using Next.js, React, TypeScript, HTML, and CSS
  • Contribute to both front-end and back-end projects across multiple languages including JavaScript, Ruby, Python, and Rust
  • Write clean, maintainable code that adheres to modern best practices and standards
  • Perform testing and debugging to ensure applications are reliable, secure, and easy to use
  • Regularly participate in engineering meetings including weekly team check-ins, backlog grooming, sprint planning and retrospectives
  • Provide technical expertise and input into decision making, roadmaps, and development milestones
  • Create and maintain thorough technical documentation, including design specs, API docs, and user guides
  • Stay up to date with the latest advancements in Next.js, React, TypeScript, and front-end web development technologies, and identify opportunities to enhance existing applications or create new ones

What you'll need to succeed

  • 5+ years of software engineering experience
  • Strong proficiency with Next.js, React, TypeScript, and related front-end tools
  • Experience with multiple languages including Ruby, Python, Javascript, and Rust
  • Security Awareness - proper credential handling, safe SQL queries, and general ability to self-direct identification and remediation of security issues
  • Ability to balance the trade-offs of perfection versus development, commensurate with the company size as it grows.
  • Being able to coach juniors on best practices

Salary data for this role

  • Base salary: $165,000 annually
  • Annual bonus potential up to $20,000 based on team goals and OKRs
