Software Engineer

About Peer Supply

Peer Supply is a platform for sharing healthcare supply chain data for the purpose of improving resilience, decreasing costs, and improving patient care. To date we have successfully organized a data sharing network that includes many of the top providers and suppliers in the United States. The data from these partners is being processed, mapped, and used to create a community database for querying and improving healthcare.

About the role

We believe that we will unlock massive value for providers and suppliers by improving access to a growing dataset from across the healthcare ecosystem. We are seeking a full stack software engineer to help us build out our applications and APIs. You’ll join a small and growing team of engineers focused on building resilience into the healthcare supply chain.

What you'll do

Full-stack Development:  Build and maintain front-end and back-end features using Typescript. We use React/Next.js on the front-end and Nest.js on the backend. We fully expect and desire that you will have more proficiency in one side of the stack. For this role, we're open to deeper proficiency in either side.

Collaboration: Actively collaborate with product managers and fellow engineers on development projects. Pair with other engineers to foster a collaborative team environment and grow as an engineer.

Quality Assurance: Implement and champion best practices in software development. Conduct thorough code reviews to ensure high standards of code quality, security, and performance.

Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, ensuring clarity and accessibility for all team members, covering code, databases, and APIs.

Problem Solving: Proactively troubleshoot technical issues, identify effective solutions, and provide support for incident resolution when necessary.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or higher degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

  • Proven experience as a software engineer, showcasing a robust background in Node.js, Typescript, and React (with 4+ years of relevant experience).

  • Strong proficiency in React (Next.js a plus), building RESTful APIs using Node.js, or both

  • Familiarity with cloud providers such as GCP, AWS, or Azure (experience with GCP preferred).

  • Dedication to best practices in software engineering, including testing, documentation, and code quality.

  • Passion for contributing to the transformation of the healthcare supply chain through data-driven solutions.

Join us on our mission to transform the healthcare supply chain through data-driven solutions and make a meaningful impact on the industry. If you are an ambitious and talented data professional with a desire to shape the future of healthcare, we would love to hear from you. Apply now and help us revolutionize the way healthcare supplies reach those in need.
