Reports To: Executive Leadership
Direct Reports: Production Supervisors, Production Control Manager
Schedule: Full-time (40+ hours/week)

Overview:

The Director of Operations at Pen Manufacturing is a key leadership position with direct influence over the company's success and future. This role blends operational execution with strategic insight. You will oversee plant operations, maintenance, workforce management, and capacity planning—while working cross-functionally to ensure the entire organization is aligned, efficient, and primed for growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead plant operations, including safety programs, maintenance, workforce planning, hiring, and terminations.
  • Mentor and develop leadership talent and succession planning across departments.
  • Drive strategic initiatives that improve efficiency, quality, and capacity.
  • Conduct deep analytical reviews of operational performance and implement improvement strategies based on insights.
  • Work cross-functionally with sales, finance, engineering, supply chain, HR, and quality to execute high-impact initiatives.
  • Maintain compliance with all company and regulatory standards.
  • Align daily operations with broader business goals, including business development and investment initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field; MBA preferred.
  • 5+ years of leadership experience in manufacturing or industrial operations.
  • Experience with plant-level decision-making and leading cross-functional teams.
  • Strong data-driven mindset and comfort with operational analytics.
  • Proven track record in staff development, safety oversight, and capacity scaling.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

The pay range for this role is:

100,000 - 175,000 USD per year (Anaheim, CA)
