Software Engineer 2

We are looking for a Software Engineer to join our MC Professional squad, working with the product management team to understand requirements, suggest technical solutions, implement, and deploy new features. Your Impact

As a Software Engineer 2 at Personify, you’ll be working on MC Pro, a cutting-edge membership management platform designed for associations, nonprofits, and member-based organizations. MC Pro helps these organizations achieve more by automating routine tasks, enhancing staff efficiency, and streamlining their technology. It empowers them to grow revenue, strengthen relationships, and deliver greater value to their members. By contributing to MC Pro, you’ll help build solutions that simplify operations and create meaningful impact for organizations dedicated to making a difference.

Here’s how you will make a significant impact:

• Build. You will work across all stages of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) to build and enhance new features and modules for MC Professional. You will code/configure, maintain, test, and debug existing or new systems, ensuring we deliver quality features and bug fixes that align with our development process.
• Grow. You will expand your skills and your understanding of solving real-world problems. You will gain exposure to all aspects of product feature design, development, and deployment as you participate in requirements analysis, implementation, test automation, continuous integration, automation of deployment and monitoring. You will collaborate to solve complex issues and push yourself to the next level of your career.
• Prioritize quality. As a development team member, you will ensure each release meets our high-quality standards. You will provide end-to-end support of applications, participate in incident response activities, and help improve software stability and performance.

What You Bring

We are looking for the best of the best – software engineering professionals who possess the skills to excel in our dynamic environment.

• The experience and the growth mindset. You have 2+ years of software development, working across the SDLC and strong knowledge of:
• • Computer science fundamentals
  • Coding standards and design principles / patterns
  • Building a system design for specific business requirements
  • Scaling infrastructure and developing products and features that fit into an ecosystem
• The technical toolbox. You have an enthusiasm for learning new programming languages and platforms as needed. You have hands-on experience with:
• • Java and related technologies
  • Spring Framework
  • Angular Framework
  • Key services for AWS
  • Building REST APIs
  • Relational databases (SQL and Mongo)
  • Scala or Kotlin, Docker, and Kubernetes are all nice to have but not essential.
• The collaborative approach. You understand the concepts of collective responsibility and ownership and practice active listening and empathetic engagement across diverse perspectives.
