We're looking for a Payments General Manager for a SaaS company specializing in the Association Management Software (AMS) space. This role will be responsible for leading the end-to-end strategy, growth, and optimization of the company’s integrated payments business. The company is highly-profitable and generating approximately $90 million in annual revenue. This role targets monetizing payments in the SMB SaaS market, driving innovation to deepen payments adoption and extracting greater value from its payment business. The Payments General Manager will report to the CFO and be expected to work cross-functionally with the Product, Engineering and Finance teams.

Your Impact  

As a Payments General Manager at Personify, you will be responsible for leading end-to-end strategy, growth, and optimization of the company's integrated payments business.

 

Here’s how you will make a significant impact: 

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive strategy to increase payment volume, maximize revenue from payment services, and differentiate the company’s payments offering in the competitive AMS market.
  • Collaborate closely with product management, engineering, and marketing teams to launch new payment features, optimize payment workflows, and position payment solutions as a core value driver for SMB association clients.
  • Identify and implement initiatives to boost payment revenue such as transaction fee optimization, upselling payment-related features, developing value-added services, expanding payment acceptance types, and improving conversion rates.
  • Oversee relationships with payment processors, gateway vendors, and other technology/service partners to ensure reliable, secure, and cost-efficient operations.
  • Stay current on trends in digital payments, especially in the AMS and SMB SaaS sectors; proactively propose and implement enhancements that create customer stickiness and lifetime value.
  • Customer focus: Ensure payment solutions are tightly integrated into the core AMS platform and solve real needs for association customers, leading to increased satisfaction, retention, and wallet share.


What You Bring 

We are looking for the best of the best payments professionals who have demonstrated success in the Association Management Software (AMS) space and possess the skills to excel in our dynamic environment. 

  • Proven history of monetizing payments within SMB SaaS environments, preferably in verticals similar to AMS.
  • Demonstrated experience working cross-functionally with product, engineering, and marketing teams to drive product launch and usage growth.
  • Strong financial acumen with experience managing payments P&L and tracking key performance metrics.
  • Deep understanding of the payments landscape, especially the challenges and opportunities facing associations and SMBs leveraging SaaS platforms.
  • Excellent vendor management skills and ability to navigate complex partner ecosystems.

The pay range for this role is:
