Staff Accountant

Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Staff Accountant to support our finance team with daily accounting operations. The ideal candidate will have experience working with GAAP principles, a strong grasp of accounts receivable and payable cycles, and a proactive mindset toward problem-solving and communication.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Support full-cycle Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP) processes
  • Prepare bank account reconciliations
  • Assist in the month-end and year-end closing processes
  • Help maintain accurate financial records in compliance with GAAP
  • Collaborate with team members and cross-functional departments to resolve accounting discrepancies
  • Extract and sort large volumes of financial data from multiple systems to create reports, identify trends, and assist in problem-solving
  • Support audit processes and documentation preparation as needed
  • Utilize software such as Excel, Sage Intacct, Rippling, Concur, and Egencia for daily tasks
  • Assist with expense reporting and travel management entries
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of accounting workflows and controls

Requirements:

  • 3 - 5 years of accounting or finance experience (public accounting or audit background a plus)
  • Strong understanding of GAAP accounting principles
  • Experience using accounting software
  • Knowledge of full AR/AP cycles
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong analytical thinking, logic-based problem solving, and effective communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in a fast-paced, multi-system environment
  • Experience supporting internal or external audits
  • Familiarity with cloud-based accounting and HR systems
